The best hotel during our trip! We were impressed by the green garden, the view and heated swimming pool. The bed was super comfy, the room very clean and the little private terrace outside was a pleasant surprise.
Located in Calheta, a 7-minute walk from Calheta Beach, Socalco Nature Calheta has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

Everything!! Perfect hotel!! We did our last night at Madeira at the hotel and I am sorry we didn't do the whole week there.
You sleep inside a vineyard with a view to the Ocean, they grow most of the food in the property, they have an exceptional breakfast and I recommend making a reservation for their dinner as well to the tables outside. When you come to Madeira this is the plase to stay!!
Savoy Calheta Beach, facing the Atlantic Ocean, is located on Calheta Beach. This 4-star hotel features indoor and outdoor pools, spa, gym and access to the sea via the beach.

The location was great. Right on the beach and a nice little boardwalk. A park up the street for kids to play at as well. The kids club was great for the kids as well. Staff was amazing and super helpful
Set in tranquil Prazeres with Atlantic Ocean and mountain views, this 4-star hotel offers self-catering accommodations within 1.2 mi of the Natural Park of Madeira.
Prazeres is a small village. It does have a restaurant and a bar but that's about it - we did not hang out there much. You can do a levada walk that starts from Prazeres, which is nice, and close by (~15 min drive) are Calheta beach, Paul do Mar, and Jardim do Mar, which are tiny beach villages which have a couple of nice restaurants. The north coast and Funchal are at a 40 minutes drive. If you have a car, the location is nicely located; if you don't, I wouldn't choose this spot, because there isn't much to do in Prazeres itself.

Prazeres is a very nice village on a relatively flat and not very crowded part of Madeira. It has very good restaurants and a convenient supermarket. Perfect if you are looking for a peaceful relaxed holiday.

Prazeres is a small town in the western part of Madeira and is a good base for exploring and walking. It is located just off the main road from Funchal and is well connected for travel across the western half of the island.
There are several fine restaurants right there in the town serving authentic Madeiran food.
