I was looking forward to staying at this place - and It didn’t disappoint me! Stylish, modern, great architecture perfectly built-in the surrounding nature, featuring cool colorful details. The room was great, the view - amazing! I liked the outdoor pool a lot, as well as hot tub with 180* view on the ocean. I also spotted try yoga studio there - will try next time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, check-in and checkout are quick and smooth. The breakfast is amazing, featuring buffet and menu.

Great walks (Levadas) in the area. Accommodation was outstanding. Immaculate inside! Great outdoor space. Extremely kind and caring Host. Private parking space. One of the best places we have stayed at.

Very nice small town with a nice beach and good restaurants. There are 2 levadas to walk. There is a small shop in town where you can find everything you need. Good connection to the main road that runs along the coast to the capital. A cafe on the cliff and a cape where you can walk and see the cliffs on both sides.

Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special.
Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special. But given the fact that you have rental car you can just discover the whole island.
It is highly recommended to visit Calheta, there is a very nice harbour and little boulevard. Must go there is restaurant Manifattura Di Gelato.
Another very good restaurant is La Vaca Negra in Funchal; best steaks ever!

Such a pretty little place - lots of winding streets - many...
Such a pretty little place - lots of winding streets - many pedestrian only, and good restaurants too. We mostly ate at the hotel, but also at a restaurant called Caprice which was fantastic and great value for money.
We were delighted to find lots of interesting sculpture around the place which was fascinating, and the people were all very chilled and welcoming.
The pavements are mostly cobbled, and of course there are lots of hills so challenging if your mobility is reduced as my parent's was - didn't stop us though - we just took our time and there were regular places to sit and rest along the way.

Its a very good place to base yourself as its very easy to get around the island from there, there are may different walks within a short drive.. It is a very small but quaint place. You get the most amazing sunsets in Ponta do Sol .
The location was great with beautiful views. It's very quiet and we could enjoy every part of the island easily by car. There is also a cool short Banana route close by the RB2 Vereda do Nateiro and other beautiful waterfalls at Ponta do Sol. The garage is a bit tricky if you have a low car. It has a nicely equipped kitchen. They had a welcome basket with fruits for us. It is ideal for a family or a group of friends. We would definitely choose the same place next time.

The location is perfect to travel around Madeira with a car (I liked the north and the west much more than the east and Funchal's surroundings). Going western of Ponta do Sol, the traffic is very light compared to Ponta do Sol and towards Funchal.
In general, no issue with parking.
The pool is great to cool off after a day spent hiking.
The room was spacious, really enjoyed how much space I had, had some breakfasts in the balcony when it wasn't too cold.
In general the room was really clean.
The mattress was extremely comfortable, the air conditioning was spot on, and the shower was also great. Strong water pressure.
The location is great, but if you want to go to the beach in front of the hotel everyday, or if you want to travel all around the island. However, if your re planning to visit Funchal, and spend most of your days there or around there, then book something around there (in Funchal area there are nicer beaches, such as Praia de Atalaia).
The house is well equipped and provides a stunning, almost 360 view on the Ponta do Sol Valley and the sea. It has a nice terrace with great facilities for barbecue. Everything was very clean and we were welcomed with a awesome gift basket of local goods by which we felt really welcomed.
Upon request Carlos provided additional child equipment like kids bed, high chair, towel and even some toys :-). Which was really valuable for us!
Unbeatable value-for-money. If you are into traveling around the island with a rented car (especially into the mountains) and you prime functional accommodation with a more than reasonable price, this is it. Put that together with two of the most friendly, atentive, and accommodating hosts I have ever met, and you get a picture of what waits for you if you book this place.

Note: Madeira is a vertical environment. Very steep roads. This condo is lower on the hillside than 90% of properties in the area.
We loved the location in the heights of Ponta do Sol, the view is stunning from both terraces. Very quiet area at the end of a steep road. The house has everything that you need, it’s nice, spacious and very comfortable. Rudolf is such a nice host, we loved the little touches and veggies from the garden. We higlhy recommend this place !
We had a wonderful stay and we felt right at home! We enjoyed the view and the location which made it easy to visit all parts of the island.
Our host made sure we had everything we needed and yet being very discreet, she is truly amazing!

The views for the property are amazing. The concept of it being built on the side of the mountain in tiers is cool. The restaurant was good. The grounds were maintained. The little town is an easy walk. Cleaning crew is friendly.
Very comfortable, spacious, fully equipped, clean house with wonderful views over Ponta do Sol. Amazing hosts. Fruits and vegetables straight from the garden. Big terrace. Walking distance to the beach and town. The best place!!!

We had a wonderful time at Estalagem Da Ponta Do Sol and enjoyed it a lot. Everyone was super friendly, the food was delicious, the rooms were very nice, the view amazing and the location was just stunning.
The location is wonderful! The terrace, overlooking the blooming flowers and the pool, was a great place to hang out or to have breakfast/dinner. Host was very helpful with local tips for the whole island.
Location was perfect, right by the waterfront in beautiful Ponta do Sol, rooms were spacious and comfortable, all with ocean view, breakfast buffet was very good with lots of choices.
Gomes house was in close location to ponta do sol and had good facilities close by. The garage was really handy. Beautiful views from the terrace to enjoy coffee on a sunny morning.
