The proximity to the National Park was perfect. We loved the villages of Belmont and Sortelha, both gems.
The hotel is uninspiring to look at , but has good public spaces. We had two evening meals which were lovely , not flash but nicely cooked food.

Our room was large with a great view! The gym was large and complete with a personal trainer on hand to help with machines. Easy access by car to the hotel which is well located for daytrips around the area.

11/10. Family run and owned, Portuguese hospitality at its best. Everything was better than we had hoped for. Beautiful country house, quiet yet close to the main highway. Comfortable beds. We were the only guests staying that night and were given a room in a separate house, with a living room and kitchenette downstairs. We ate dinner there, and it was excellent, and more than enough. Everything we ate was fresh, homemade or purchased from a neighbor. Great bottle of wine from the family vineyard came with the dinner. We will definitely return (have to try that wild boar 😀)

Great location with a beautiful view in the Serra Esterala. The house is beautifully and uniquely decorated. Clean and unique .The common area for all guests is cozy and equipped with everything needed.
The one who makes the village house a real home is Teresa who runs the place. A lovely and hospitalized woman, initiated,
who is always ready to help the guests in everything. Always with a smile on the face.and a desire to help in anything you needed and at any time .For example we needed medical help and she helped us find a clinic in the area and get to it for medical treatment. Teresa imade the stay at the place a special experience and gave us a feeling of a warm home.
