Only the view- rooms and facilities are dirty, dated and just awful and the only reason anyone would ever come here is for the view of the ocean, that is all. The quality of the staff was worse than the quality of the rooms which is truly inconceivable(over €100 a night for a room worse than a hostal on “resort” grounds), yet still possible… seriously bad beyond comprehension
This resort in Esposende faces the Cávado River and is 656 feet from the Atlantic Ocean. It offers an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and a gym. Free parking is available.

Location, it was right on the camino. And size of room. Large enough to spread our gear out.

The bathtub was glorious. TVs and Netflix throughout (which my 12 year old appreciated). Wifi good. There was a pool table, formal dining area, lovely kitchen, and laundry. I will definitely stay again.
Just a 18-minute walk from Marinhas Beach and one mile from Barrelas Beach, Casa de férias e fins de semana,1 features accommodations in Esposende with a garden.

The place had a washing machine and the owner even supplied the detergent. Private and warm!

All the good restaurants are outside Esponsende - mainly in Apulia. A nice little hike or short taxi ride. Bridge to Fao needs some TLC, at least if you walk over it. Fantastic views, but the rusty bits on the footpath high above the water are somewhat anxiety-inducing (and I even heard that from experienced Camino walkers ...) Would not walk over a second time ...

Esposende was one of the best places to stay that we have had on this trip for the Camino de Santiago. The people that run the hotel are wonderful and very friendly. Everything is very clean and they have a great lounge with a good kitchen to make what you want. I would recommend them and their rooms to anyone going to that area.

We thought everybody had left town.
We thought everybody had left town. The whole place was strangely quiet and deserted. We struggled to find an open place to eat. It was early September. A lot of derelict buildings.
Just about good enough for a one night Camino stopover.

We are an elderly couple who have been to the area many times since 1975 and never tire of it. It has not suffered overdevelopment like many other resorts. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the food and laid back style . The surrounding area such as Ponte de Lima is superb so a car enhances the experience.

Esposende is a nice little town and a cool spot for kitesurfing. When I was there it was quiet and relaxing. I couldn't find amazing places for lunch or dinner actually, but some nice local patisseries instead. Having said that, there is some offer, just not to the level I was hoping. The coast is nice, the wind strong, people are nice too, and it is very close to other nice towns in the north of Portugal

Very nice place with nice sea and the special cakes from Fao. If you are in Esposende you have definitely to go to get some "Clarinhas de Fão". Fão is on the south bank of the river. You can find them in a very small "pastelaria".
Warm greeting at reception with useful information provided to us in English. Plenty of space in our apartment with a well equipped kitchen and large supermarket around the corner. Able to make a home cooked dinner after many nights of quick fix meals. Large dining/lounge area and our room also had it's own outdoor space to relax in overlooking a large garden.
The Esposende Guest House is situated in a great location, just steps from the boardwalk and the Camino. It has a lovely communal area with a large table and great kitchen. The outdoor patio is especially nice for sitting, eating or hanging clothes to dry. We enjoyed having the opportunity to meet other guests. The upstairs rooms offer more privacy.
Everything is excellent in this house.special thanks for house owner because he help me alot he is very good heart person .the cleaning is super in the house all the things are comfortable if I will come again in esposende I will stay again in this house .the .most important thing I like it's traditional house ♥️♥️
The owners were super friendly and the facilities and gardens are amazing, there is a heated saltwater pool and plenty of space to relax or do yoga. It’s close to beautiful mountains and a beautiful beach is near, good choice of cafes and restaurants, peaceful in nature, but not isolated exactly what I needed.
Very good value for the 3 star hotel. The hotel is new, very clean and modern, location excellent close to the beach and a very good restaurant across the street. Very quiet neighberhood. Staff was very nice and helpful.
A really cool hotel with great ambience. The rooms are clean and fresh. There is a very well equipped kitchen if you want to self-cater rather than eat out. Very close to the seafront on a quiet residential street.
Right on the Camino before you reach central Esposende, the location was perfect after a day of walking. The staff was friendly and helpful and my room had a BATHTUB, which was perfect for soaking my sad feet.
This guesthouse is on the Camino , near the bridge to Esposende . Clean, bright new and with a common kitchen with washing machine and dryer , a very useful facility for pilgrims.
Incredible location right by the beach. Friendly welcoming staff.
Resort style well appointed room quiet and comfortable with balcony. Sumptuous breakfast.
The check in staff were lovely and friendly.
The kitchen had everything.
There was cake for breakfast.
The room was fab.
