A wonderfully renovated house. The owner told us that it had been his grandparents' house and that he had saved it from its dilapidated state. Well, we can tell you that he did a very fine job. With great taste and grace and respect for its history. It also meets all the requirements for its current purpose: giving visitors a comfortable and luxurious stay. Furthermore: the breakfast left nothing to be desired. The lady serving us was very nice and forthcoming. Ali in all: simply great!
Quinta Janelas do Vale is a recently renovated guest house in Abrantes where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.

This isn’t high-end luxury but it’s a very cute property for a weekend stay near the Castelo de Bode lake. We booked the apartment which was very cute, though sadly the sun was not out for us to use the hammock.
Wonderful view over the valley, particularly at sunset. It was a bit cold and windy when we arrived so we’re very happy to see there was a little greenhouse with a view that we could sit in with a drink!
Communication was very easy and we really appreciated the late-night milk delivery for a cup of tea!
Lots of great places to walk and explore nearby - we really loved Praia Fluvial do Penedo Furado with its boardwalk that goes between different waterfalls.
Casa da Torre is located in Sao Pedro de Tomar, just 19 miles from Almourol Castle and 6 miles from Capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceicao.

This place is a gem, it is in the countryside of Portugal on a beautiful property with fruit and olive trees, a pool, and a wonderful outdoor seating and cooking area. Pro tip, bring some food to cook and plan extra time to hang at the property, it is a site all onto itself.
