Breakfast boring, same every day. Place was very basic but adequate. Liked that is was remote, quiet and had great views of Faial and Montanha Pico and the sea. Too chilly to try the pool so cant comment. Staff very nice and friendly. Liked kitchen facilities.

We arrived very late because out flight from Terceira island was delayed 3 hours. We were able to communicate with the staff at Almo do Pico via WhatsApp and email (we didn't have SIM cards that supported cell service on the island). They were very helpful and understanding. They just left the door key in the door lock for us. We completed the official check in the next morning. We asked if there was a store nearby where we could buy some hiking poles for our trek up Pico Mountain. They loaned us two sets of poles for free that had been left by prior guests. Excellent service. Nice private cabins. Beautiful setting. Great breakfast.

The view from the front door was an impressive view of Pico mountain. The location was great. It was close to swimming and the town of Madalena, and quiet. Lots of good restaurants and easy to get around. Shopping for groceries was convenient, as was using this location as a starting point to visit Pico.

Surrounded by lush greenery, epicenter PICO is located in Azores’ Pico Island. The house has scenic views over the lush green areas and also over neighboring Faial Island.
