The room was fine. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and the food was excellent - very tasty. Breakfast (included with room price) was ordered off the menu, not a buffet. The staff was nice.

The owners are putting big effort to take care of this place - very clean, all facilities that you can think of (for cooking, playing board games, reading, staying outside near the campfire,..)
Except that there is no TV, but I have no complaints about this - it's even better.

very nice 2 separate room + kitchen apartment in the 5ft floor. and very center of the town. silent neighbors. close to shops. easy to park a car and good Christmas view to the city. Host very kind seeking much polish so you are lucky if you understand. Also was very happy to have smart TV so we could stream English cartoons from our own phone.
Kitchen is perfect Owen + inductive hob and dishwasher.

I travelled in order to visit the German WW2 sites which abound in the area, the town itself is still full of historic sites going back centuries, but WW2 important buildings, such as barracks stll exist, some in ruined condition. The recent work to improve the visitor experience at the Wolfschanze is brilliant as it does not impact on the sites historical significance.

I would not spend more that a couple days as this is a small town.
As mentioned in my previous commentaries (other Polish towns), I wish I had seen more people smiling. However I understand that this is north (climate) and that the Polish citizens have been through a lot.
Everything was very good and it was a bit emotional to me because of my german grandfather who grew up about 300 m away from the hotel. In my childhood I painted for him the red-brick St. George church, which was located a few meters apart from my room. My dinner was very good too! The museum-castle is located directly at the hotel.
Location is exceptional, it is near the old castle/church and old town overall. You can also see it from the room windows.
Nice restaurant in hotel's ground floor/front yard.
There was no electric kettle in the room, but I accidentally found it in hallway, together with iron and other useful things.
Very communicative hosts who are always willking to help and tell about all tourist attractions of the region. House is clean and cozy, on large plot of land placed in the peaceful area with woods and meadows around. Very close to Kętrzyn, to WW2 bunkers and other attractions.
I like everything - from the greeting I received on arrival to the farewell on my departure.
A great hotel - lovely food, clean, comfortable rooms, free bicycle lent to me, and friendly helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again!

A quiet area in a park outside Ketrzyn, free parking available (in fact we had our car just below the windows), large apartment well fitted. Very close to Wolfschanze.
