Location was perfect for walking to the Seal Colony along the path and the beach . The front Desk hours were very limited and the breakfast left a bit to be desired . But the location and the quaint courtyard make up for its downfalls.

Enjoyed the whale watching tour - the day was reasonably calm so no one was seasick thank goodness. Staff were informatiive and shared the story of the whales and dolphins. The map showing us the travel route was very helpful to understand the trnech and which direction and area we were headed to.

Kaikoura is a 2 hr drive from our home, so we regularly visit for long weekends. It's a special part of NZ where people and nature can interact. There's something special about how the mountains meet the sea. And of course the fresh seafood is spectacular

WhaleWatch trip was very good.
WhaleWatch trip was very good. Great cafes: Flo and Co has excellent coffee. Sime's Kitchen had great breakfast and lunch - vegan choices were delicious. Tipsy Foodies also recommended. Southern Paua shop and factory highly recommended - amazing range of jewellery, carvings and gifts. Some exquisite pounamu too. Best place to buy gifts in Kaikoura!!
Novel Findings is a great bookshop and homewares shop - don't miss it!
Loved the Ngāi Tahu artworks beside the highway, murals on the railway bridge and buildings. It's really worth checking the "Neat Places Kaikoura" website - lots of great suggestions for cool places and things to do in Kaikoura.

Very easy to find way to attractions, town lovely and clean.Plenty of eating places, ones we used were all excellent and value for money.Only thing we regretted was we missed the Whale Watch tour as it was blowing hard both full days we were there and there were no sailings. Will have to go back again.
Toilet was surprisingly in pristine condition, considering that a lot of these motels or similar can be quite old. Ceiling heater in toilet was so warm and nice because it was the first we saw on the trip, but subsequently realised that was quite a common heater. Stayed in cosy 1 bedroom apartment, with a small kitchen for me to prep breakfast for next day when we head off! A pity it was just for a 1night stay, since it was a stopover betweenPicton ferry terminal and Lake tekapo. but was definitely a good 1 night short stay!
We love the historic building with its character and lovely views.
The staff were so very helpful and engaging.
We specially thought the receptionist Chanel was very friendly and welcoming.
This has been our second stay and we will continue to come back again to your Boutique Hotel. We all enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for the friendly staff, great breakfast and cosy accommodation.
No breakfast studio flat. Walking distance to train & Whale Watching. Everything I needed in the studio flat. Separate kitchen with all the gadgets I needed (like a can opener, cutting board, microwave bowls etc) which I haven't got in all the other motels stayed in hence the high praise & the fridge was in the closed kitchen - lovely nights sleep thank you.
Amazing breakfast, location, room, facilities! Spa was lovely and so many homely touches. Best accomodation in Kaikoura hands down. Beautiful lounge and indoor and outdoor dining area with big comfy couches. Large selection of DVD's and homemade biscuits went down well! Stunning view from the room - clearly a lot of love put into this place!
This is a really nice, modern hotel, very close to the main things to do in Kaikoura. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff are very helpful. If you’re doing the swimming with dolphins experience during your stay, the hotel is over the road from the meeting place. This made the early start a lot easier!
Patrick was a lovely host, very friendly and made a lovely breakfast
Room was well equipped with everything we needed - very clean
Bed was very comfortable, great block out curtains and little if no noise from the road
Would highly recommend for your visit to Kaikoura
Great value for money
Judy was an excellent host and we really enjoyed the stay. The place is very near to everything with amazing views. She provided us amazing breakfast and we would highly recommend Judy’s place when you are in Kaikoura
Everything! The perfect overnight experience! No 5-star hotel in New Zealand can touch this level. Perfect breakfast supply, great beds and pillows. A deer enclosure in the backyard. A beautiful chalet.
Beautiful place to stay. Great space for 2 adult's and 3 teenagers. Right across the road from the beach and a short walk to the shops. Loved Kaikoura will definitely be back to stay at the White Morph.
Spacious studio (bigger than my first appartment), well equipped, nice views, and once again like in all the motels in NZ so far super comfy beds with good pillows and duvets.
the backyard and its view of Kaikoura Mtns was unmatched. Dennis gave us a tour of the farm animals and gardens. He and Ann made us a generous and tasty breakfast.
The apartment was clean and tidy, it had everything I needed to have a very enjoyable stay. I come to Kaikoura specifically to spend time by the ocean.
