It was off the beaten track but very easy to get to, 10 minute drive to Warksworth. Had a great big bath tub that 2 could fit in comfortably. Bed not that comfortable and room was cold although it had a space heater. Had to pay for a glass of wine and breakfast was $25 if available which it was not. No TV. Grounds surrounding private house were very nice. Probably better in warm weather when you can use the pool. Owner was very nice and easy to talk to.

Tucked away off the highway, this motel has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including super comfy beds! The place has recently been done up and it feels like a lot of care has gone into it. Grant you’re a legend thanks for being so kind with a great sense of humour!!

Gibbs farm and some other walkways were closed for public during the weekend we visited or because of New Year holiday season. We enjoyed board games, walks and nature.
Glorit is a small remote area where there aren't any shops or restaurants. We took away some food for our meals except for the breakfast which was provided by the hosts. It made me fully enjoy the trip without taking time to do cooking and spending time in the (fully equipped) kitchen during our stay.
It's good to have a vehicle with good engine capacity since it is a hilly area although Glorit is not far from Auckland.
