Beautiful setting with lovely rooms well spaced over the complex. Our accomodation was nestled in the bush. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The facilities were excellent. The toiletries were very high quality. Having kayaks included was excellent. The meal at the restaurant was top class for three of our four diners. Our gluten free companion was well catered for.

We loved everything about our stay at Lochmara Lodge. We stayed for two nights with our family and It was a little bit of a splurge, but did not disappoint! The location was stunning, the fact that you got there by water taxi made it remote and uncrowded, and there were plenty of things to do (hike, paddleboard, kayak). Also, the food was delicious and the staff was accommodating and helpful.

Te Mahia is a slice of paradise in the Queen Charlotte-Kennepure Sound. The location is a balm for your soul in the busy life we lead today. It is exquisitely beautiful but the locations beauty is surpassed by Trevor and Janet who were exemplified Kiwi kindness.
As Canadian golfers pursuing the links, Trevor arranged for us to join a golf tournament at the Nopera golf course. This required a short boat water ride across the gorgeous sound by equally kind and generous Kiwis Ang and Christopher- who were playing in the tournament. While we scooted across the sound our guides pointed out features around the shore which were not in any guide books.
Trevor arranged a delicious dinner for us upon our return which put the fresh in freshly caught. Our chefs were an engaging young couple who prepared a delicious meal.
This place is not to be missed in any trip to New Zealand.

We did the Queen Charlotte s walk and staying in the lodge was such a treat for us. They offer pack lunch to rake away for the people doing the track which is really helpfull and there is an outdoor spa available.

No one told us that we should have caught the Ferry to Punga Cove from Picton. We drove for hours only to find out that the road was closed for maintenance. Very annoying and we had to wait for hours to drive through a very short window of time to get through. Apparently Booking.com was told by the property, but the Booking.com did not tell us. Disappointing!

Explore guest reviews of hotels in Endeavour Inlet
The hotel was fantastic located on the lovely Endeavour inlet. The view from the room amazing and the room itself very comfortable with a very good bathroom. We didn't have breakfast because were leaving early I so can't comment on that but the evening meal was good and food and drinks were no pricier than the mainland which was nice given that they do have a captive market somewhat. I would recommend.
The cabins are AMAZING! Better than many hotel rooms and apartments we stayed in. Brand new, sparkling clean and stylish!
The hosts are just awesome human beings and they go extra miles to make your stay unforgettable.
It was indeed an unforgettable short stay and the only thing we regret is not booking another day or two in advance.
The hotel along the sound was exceptional. Cabin was clean withe views of the water. Bothe dinner and breakfast were great. Too bad we could only stay as we had to continue on the Queen Charlotte Track.
overall experience is good. punga cove is a beautiful place.lovely scenery and peacefulness.thank you for the helpful staffs to make us feel welcome and settle in a new environment.
