The manager Beau was super helpful. Mini fridge, Nespresso machine, and snacks in the comfortable room made for a pleasant stay. Location was great.

I loved how dog-friendly they were. A lot of times it‘s said but once there does not feel that way at all.
The staff embraced our pup and made us feel like guests and not an inconvenience:)

Amazing staff, very friendly, the hotel is beautiful and close to the city center. Makes you feel in a retro pub & hotel. And also VFM, and a very nice breakfast!

Zwolle is a lovely vibrant friendly town, full of great bars, restaurants and shops and undoubtedly one of the best ice cream parlours I have ever visited. There are so many great spots, so much to do and it's so chilled.

Beautiful city.
Beautiful city.
Excellent museum of modern art, de Fundatie.
Beautiful bookstore inside an old church.
The best cake and chocolates in the Netherlands at Bakkerij Lindeboom. Try my three favourites: Dark chocolate filled with 5-spice, dark chocolate with cardamom filling, and the milk chocolate filled with caramel and sea salt. Try the others too. Many are prize winning chocolates.

I had only the time to visit quickly the city center for a dinner. I was raining so we could not appreciate very much, but I am sure that the hystorical part of the city, for what I could have seen, is very interesting and charming. I'll try to visit it again in the future.

Very nice town with a lot of nice places where to stop for a drink of a coffee and good for shopping. The center is almost all pedestrian and it's perfect for a nice walk in this historical town from Overijssel.

I use Zwolle as a stopping point and each year on my way to Assen, I explore a little bit more through the narrow streets within the island. There are some fabulous places to eat and chill, its a lovely place.
The hotel was outside of Zwolle in the middle of the fields - lovely view in the morning onto meadows and cows, an apple tree in front of my window. I could rent a bike (from the hotel) at a good price (12.50 a day) and cycled to my meeting and to and from Zwolle. What a Dutch way to start (and end) your day!
The room was regular in size, with a desk (I did use), good enough desk lamps, a small fridge, and a tea kettle with packages for making tea and coffee.
The staff generally was very friendly and supportive.
The bed was okay.
Hanze hotel is located in the city centre within walking distance of the train station as well as all shops, restaurants and bars etc. Check in was ok - the room was nice and clean. Even though it was in the city centre we didn't experience a lot of noise which was great. We were there on a Wednesday in July which is a popular day/night as it is Zwolle's Blauw Vinger Dag. We didn't know about that but it was fun; lots of market stalls, bands singing and performing etc. The weather was fab too. I would recommend.
We stayed on the 3rd floor and generally the 'noise' from the bar below is manageable and not as bad as we expected. Reception is at the breakfast counter (lvl 2), and we approached the bar counter when reception was empty. They are quick to help us with our check-in process.
Located in the city center was convenient as well, maybe 15-20 minutes walk from nearest station.
Breakfast was simple and great (croissants/bread/ham/cheese/yoghurt/milk/orange juice/spreads/boiled eggs)
Room ,location and staff .
It seems that booking.com did not communicate to us the the booking was canceled and we realized this only when we arrived to check in, we were lucky there was free room for us, eve though it was not the original room we booked.
Shame for booking.com bur thanks for the staff in the hotel
This is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Each bed is within a self contained unit within a dormitory so privacy is assured. The bathrooms were modern and clean as were the kitchen facilities and dormitory. Located in the centre of Zwolle and yet quiet at night. Staff superb. Friendly and helpful.
Home away from home and always wonderful to be back. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Location is great and the hotel has great facilities. The wifi could be a bit wobbly when I visited before, but is much much better now. Great breakfast and lovely dishes at the bar and restaurant ...
De basis was located within walking distance of everything in Zwolle, Restaurants, Bars, museums, etc. Its cleanliness is also worth noting, since everything looked spotless during my entire time there. But what I like the most was the friendly staff, everyone is really friendly and helpful.
Beautiful hotel with very helpful check-in staff. Large rooms and amazing roof terrace overlooking river.
Got stranded in Zwolle when NS trains failed for the day and I couldn't get home to Amsterdam. Will definitely be coming back for a planned weekend break after staying here!
A big, clean and above all very quiet room. While the hotel isn't located in the city center of Zwolle, it's a in very good location to explore nearby places like for example Elburg, Kampen and even Groningen.
Zwolle is a charming town and the hotel is just outside the old city. We had a great dinner at Vaca Negra. The staff stayed open longer to feed 4 hungry travelers. A+ for the whole experience in Zwolle.
A wonderful spot near the centre of Zwolle, a very nice host who did his utmost best to offer us a good stay. Nice and quiet terrace on the water, large room with comfortable beds, very good breakfast
- very good location with 10-15 minutes walking distance to Zwolle city center
- nice atmosphere with Art Nouveau architecture, finely crafted furniture and high ceilings in the hotel room
A charming old house in a perfect location for enjoying the inner city of Zwolle. Once you are there you need absolutely nothing else, a car, a bus or a train. You can get around on foot.
Room floor plan is efficient enough to stay. The plus point is another door to screen noise from corridor. The top of that the hotel provides ev charge outlet for guests at parking area.
OK, probably biased because I got this exceptional deal, but it was an incredible value for money, the best I had until now in The Netherlands (traditionally very expensive for hotels)
