Very friendly staff, nice breakfast. There is a parking space underneath the building which felt better than having to park on a street. The bed area was clean and the bed was comfortable enough.

Immediately off the bike trail through Beerta . Interesting and somewhat weird or artsy entrance into the reception as well as through a very large barn into each room . Room was very well appointed . Clean and spacious . Large patio off the room looking out onto the B&B grounds .
Bathroom clean and modern . Great shower with good water pressure. Less than 500m. to an Italian and a Chinese Restaurant . Breakfast was adequate and the picnic basket in your room service was novel but not very extensive food choices .

Mostly pedestrian friendly all within easy walking distance. Delightful Carilion playing it's bells throughout the day lent charm and atmosphere. A range of shops from opticians and hairdressers to hardware and toys plus restaurants and bars. Seemed a lively night life on the Pentacostal weekend.
Streets were clean - a little graffiti - and felt safe to stroll around at night.

As a teacher in a Cardiff special school, I was involved in a thirty year Comenius funded link with De Flint School in Winschoten. I visited as a retired teacher, together with two ex colleagues, to participate in reunion teacher meeting. Winschoten is a lovely little town near to the lovely city of Groningen. We visited the charming fortress of Bourtagne and the Polder regions.
The best welcome we could have wished for after cycling across country in the heat. Friendly and helpful hotel owner and a real family hotel feel. Great location by the station and only a short walk to the centre of the town.
