I liked the location. In the middle of the city and walking distance of the train station. The hotel staff was very nice and the breakfast was superb.

The location is good, about halfway between the city center and the Assen race track. The Assen TT circuit is only a 10 min drive away. It's within bicycle distance. The restaurants are affordable and range from decent to good.

The breakfast was a well stocked hot buffet. We also liked we had a very quiet room on the ground floor with an outside patio with a view of the National park. Lots of greenery and Heather surrounding the hotel. There was plenty of free parking as well.

that is a wonderful bed and breakfast place. thanks to owner who was helpful and hospitable. beautiful garden next to the nature area. we had a cycling tour that owner gave us two bicycle for free. breakfast was also really good. if you are with car and want to add a city visit for your trip, you can reach to Groningen in 20 min, not so far. you can use the Hoogkerk P+R parking. Parking is free over there. you just need to use bus which is 10 min to city center and very frequently. that is 6 euro wit return ticket up to 5 people.
