I lived in a two-room separate apartment which had two different entrances. I myself made my meals. Ja It's too easy to travel about the city!!! I would avoid the taxi from airport it's too expensive. Just take bus 90.

A very peaceful beach town with several great restaurants...
A very peaceful beach town with several great restaurants and cafés with amazing view of beach or a calm and collected view of the village. The whole place is clean, well-managed, safe, and peaceful. Although it is not a big city, it has all the things from groceries and bars to clothing shops and dessert cafés. A walk along the beach will help you experience the bliss that is life.

Katwijk is beautiful..... end of. This is a delightful little town which is 100% Dutch through and through. I hardly heard any English voices during our holiday which was really quite refreshing. The town does not suffer from over-tourism. Menus for restaurants, coffee shops, signs, notices are all in Dutch with no other language... and rightly so. You needed to ask for an English menu which was more-than-happily provided. The Hotel Noordzee has a fantastic location.... right next to the beach and right in the town centre. There is a baker shop called Bakker Van Maanen... which could be possibly the best bakers in the whole world. I bought bread from them on the last day (freshly made) to bring home with me. It was absolutely amazing.
So yes, I will hugely recommend Katwijk.
Go to Holland, .... get away from Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, they're all the same. Holland through and through for me :-)

The first night we ate in the hotel and the food was very good.
Beautiful clean sandy beach.
We visited the model village of Holland which was very good, with great inter activities.
Sleeping by Van Beelen is only a block from the beach, the bus stop, and the main shopping drag. The room and shared bath were clean and up to date. The room was warm in during my winter stay. The bed was comfortable and the window was good for both weather and sound insulation. A hot water kettle and a few tea & coffee sachets, and cup is in room, as is a sink for water. The Wi-Fi worked well.
The room was spacious, underfloor heating very good. A small but adequate induction hob, a couple of saucepans, plates, dishes and cutlery.
Rooms cleaned daily, towels changed daily.
The hotel allowed us to leave our cycles in their basement lounge for safety which was a real bonus.
A sweet little room with a included kitchen and a nice bath. We had a very nice stay there. The beach is 1 min away, you can also reach all shops and restaurants nearby very easy.
The host was very friendly 😊 we totally recommend this place.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Lovely location. For anyone who loves whiskey and the beach and doesn't want to be smack in the middle of an otherwise busy town. This is an excellent and cozy stay. Clean and well put together breakfast.
Room was satisfactory for price paid. Breakfast was good with nice view towards sea. Location was very convenient to shopping, the beach and other services. We stored our bikes in the underground garage, which was securely locked.
Stylish interior, modern apartment furnished with everything you need, plenty of space. The apartment is located perfectly: very close to the beach and all shops in walking distance. Last but not least: great hosts.

27km from Hoek Van Holland on excellent cycle trail through the dunes, beaches and promenades. Ideally situated for a long weekend from England via the Harwich ferry without a car.
A lovely one-bedroom apartment on the beach with a private entrance. It was everything we needed as a homebase. The owner helped arrange us bicycles and was very communicative.
Heated container-like home with all the comfort we wanted. Playground in front of the door.
Bakery direct on site with great rolls. The beach is a few minutes on foot.
Location is awsome. Hotel is located on a pedestrian shopping street, the beach is just a 5 minute walk away. Room was ok. Beds also good, I slept pretty good.
