Amazing staff. Very informative and helpful. I left an ID in the place and was sent to me in Germany before I left back to the states. I can only imagine what this place is like during summer warm months. Magical I am guessing.

Went for the Race circuit at Zandvoort but we had lunch on the beach nearby and it looked good. The whole are has really interesting architecture and was a proper Dutch community town rather than just a tourist site

North of the canal, there is industry which is a fascinating view, they're building the biggest lock in the world there! The city is pleasant and there is some shopping opportunity. The beach is fantastic, the dunes are enormous and part of them are in a national park.

We had planned to eat at the De Dolfijn in Ijmuiden and to our dismay they are closed on a Tuesday. It was difficult to find a restaurant that sold gluten and dairy free food. We cycled around the town but didn't spend too much time there as we were waiting for our ferry back to England.
The chalet was very clean and looking even better than on pictures. The owners send us all information needed before the arrival and they arranged us some welcome as well. There was free parking with the chalet, a restaurant in the camping (only open until 19h15), and a small shop where you can buy anything you need and some fresh bakery for the morning or the night. It has also heating system for the colder days. Also the bus stop is just in front of the camping, so you can go to Amsterdam directly from there (duration: 45 minutes).
Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms a good size and we liked the fact that we could book a triple room for our three grown up children. Good location for reaching Amsterdam, Haarlem, Velsen etc, and if you’re taking a ferry to Newcastle. Great places to eat in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (and in the same building), and within a 10-30 minute drive in local area. Great for fresh fish on the fish quai and more industrial then beautiful, but a great place to use as a base to explore the area.
Location is great, I had a balcony with view on the harbor. The hotel in general looks quite luxurious with the beach around the corner. The room had a nice shower and bath, was fairly spacious and had a silent air-conditioning. Also a small fridge under the table and a locker in the closet, both free to use. The beds where comfortable. Breakfast bakery was great, many freshly baked sweet cakes and stuff. Friendly staff.
This little basecamp is really worth a visit! The tiny houses are a great change to the usual hotel rooms and come fully equipped. Now, dont expect perfection as the camp still looks kinda "raw" and unfinished, a bit chaotic you could say.
The location is perfecr and your 4 legged friend will surely have the time of his life. Super dog friendly!!

Very clean. Good bathroom with great shower. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff, and good restaurant downstairs. There wasn’t much else around and I had my doubts about staying in the port area of IJmuiden, but as we’re doing a walking tour we didn’t have a lot of options. Finding this hotel was a gem!
Very clean and spacious. Staff is helpful. There is a great restaurant in the hotel with a large, comfortable outside seating area. It's a quiet location but a short walk from the centre. Nice breakfast variety. Beach is a 5min drive away. Plenty of free parking. Bicycles for hire at the hotel.
The hotel staff was very friendly. They had placed an extra bed for free of our kid. There was also a swing for our kid to play. Tv connection for YouTube was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was sufficient. I strongly recommend.
The location is very convenient. Near to the main road but in a quite small street. Easy to find free parking near the hotel. The Chinese girl who works at the reception is very friendly and helpful.
Hotel is going through the renovation at the moment, but the end result is great! Very nice modern rooms, great location on the see shore and super tasty breakfast. Great value for money!
