The breakfast was fantastic! Hotel location was perfect for us. We rented both boats and bikes from the hotel and Jan's recommended for loops were great! The Route app kept us from getting lost!

We visited only for a weekend. Very nice city. Surrouned by atractions we wanted to see. We vistites nearby Giethoorn for a day. We have been too a local reaturant, that we liked. The streets in Blokzijl are quite narrow, but we had no issue with that.
We very much enjoyed our stay in Blokzijl.

Right next to the national park/reserve area, it was quiet...
Right next to the national park/reserve area, it was quiet and we enjoyed watching the herons (or what we would call herons in the Pacific NW of the states). I want to come back in the summer when I’m sure it’s lively with boaters and people enjoying the canals.
The breakfast could be a little richer , i missed the warm food , but for it price it was perfekt .
The location was excellent, if you have a car giethoorn is 15 minutes away. But the lake outside of the hotel is beautiful and calming . We already think about coming back to this hotel because of the location and the great food . It was clean and comfy, amazing showers.

Situated near Giethoorn, the place is ideal for a weekend holiday. The B&B is very charming, and the room we had was spacious and well designed. The Afrika theme is a plus point, and makes for a very unique, memorable experience. It’s not your average hotel room. The breakfast was also delicious and generous. The staff was friendly and relaxed.

We planned a day in nearby Geithoorn but were very happy we stayed in Blokzijl as it was a beautiful town well worth exploring. We had a lovely view of the old church from our room.

Good communication, excellent received when we arrived. It was a bit of a drive between the fields (which was nice). We slept very well in a beautiful room. The hostess was very kind thru out breakfast. And Blokzijl is a nice little city to visit.
This place exceeded all our expectations. We booked base on reviews online and it did not disappoint. Expect a 4 star dinner at their restaurant and they were working very hard to make sure each customer was very well taken care of.
The hotel is in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood surrounded by lakes. The room is huge, with a mini kitchen, bathtub, and shower. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast is extraordinary! We really enjoyed staying here.
