Owner of hotel was super friendly with personal attendance to the guests. Provided us with private bicycles free of charge.
Room is big with every item on its place. We have been traveling a lot for many years and it is the first hotel with shower not flooding outside the cabin, just amazing. Highly recommended.

This charming B&B is in a country setting so nothing will disturb your sleep. We had access to a large living room, kitchen, and dining table. A nice breakfast was served in our cottage. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Room was good. Bed was good. Food was good -although more vegetarian options would have been appreciated. We went by bike: easy accessible and secure place to park your bike. Great and peaceful surroundings.

The owners were extremely welcoming and hospitable. They greated us upon our arrival and immediately gave us a tour of the facilities.
We found the accommodations to be very comfortable and the bed perfect for a good nights sleep.
It was such a joy to watch their three horses waiting for their morning hay and grains from the kitchen window. Every morning we were greated by Elvis the cat on his rounds before he set off for the fields.
The kitchen was very well equipped and we were not missing for anything.
We stayed at this place to bike ride. We found the various bike routes provided by the host to be very safe and lovely traveling the Dutch countryside. The Dutch bike routes are so easy to follow that we wonder why other countries don't use the same route numbering system.
The local town of Chaam is very quaint with local restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores all within a couple minute drive or bike ride.
We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it particularly if you enjoy nature. Welook forward to seeing the hosts again and hearing of life in the Netherlands and their adventures from life abroad. A big thank you to them both!

The town has interested me for some time because of the geopolitical layout of it, as I'm sure will draw others to it as well. I really enjoyed spending the day exploring this further. As a downside, most of the town shut down on Monday — something I should have realised before planning things, but I've learned for next time.

The story of the borderline running erratically through the village (at one point even through the middle of a house) is worth a visit. The small exhibition about this phenomenon in the tourist office in the city center is a brief but very well done explanation.
The apartment is located outside of Baarle-Nassau, a short walk (15-20 minutes) is all you need to reach the town center. The place is run by very nice and hospitable owner. The building is located by the forest, so it is a peaceful and quiet place to stay in. Within the apartment you have all you might need when away from home. The rooms are located on the ground floor, no need to worry about carrying your luggage up the stairs. The breakfast is prepared by the owner, it is very tasty and you might negotiate when it is to be ready.
The room was big and it was good value for money. I liked it very much that the entry to my room was on one side of the building and not through the restaurant. I also ate at the restaurant and it was a tasty meal, kuddos to the chef. The hotel is right next to the border where you can take cool photos. I would say this hotel has the best location in Baarle nassau
- Unfortunately we did not have the time to enjoy the wellness and sport facilities as we stayed here just for the night, but they seemed pretty nice at first glance.
- Also, another nice perk was that the room was very big and it has its own sort of private garden shared with a few other rooms.
- Parking is free and right in front of the hotel

Superb location - right on Belgian/Dutch border. That's why I went - to explore the fascinatuing enclave landscapes.
The hotel was used both by visitors, but also locals meeting up for drinks and parties. it was a wonderfully friendly vibe - I loved it.
Location. Den Engel in in the heart of Baarle-Nassau. I rode the bus from Turnhout with the stop in front of Den Engel. Just across the street is Tourist Information staffed with knowledgeable, kind and helpful people.
The hotel has a big free parking lot and is located not too far from the centre of Baarle (within walking distance). The breakfast is very good and the access to the sport facility is uncomparable.
I liked the fact that the hotel was also a bistro, bustling with people during the hot temperatures.
The bathroom was good.
Selection of TV channels good.
Perfect location to visit the Merkse
very friendly staff on reception and around the hotel ; the most mundane questions answered with a smile and breakfast was very good too. lovely hotel that i couldn't recomend highly enough
