Stayed here for 8 days comfortably. Fundamentally, the room was clean, the staff was professional, and they had a good selection of food. It's also close to the beach and you can easily catch the bus from the nearby stops to go anywhere. Oh and a bonus - THEY HAVE A LIFT. This last point is a bit one because there's a bunch in Hulhumale without it, which forces you to carry your luggage.

For the price, very good service. They pick you up from the airport and wait for you in case you are held in immigration. Very friendly and warm staff. Caters to your needs asap. Breakfast was great for the value. I had a little “female emergency” and the woman in the reception was very very helpful. I forgot her name and had to leave early in the morning so I wasn’t able to say goodbye.

I had previously stayed in Male city on two previuos visits and found it a pleasant place to stay. In the intervening 12 years since my last visit the entire Hulumale area has been developed and has become something of a dormitory suburb to Male city with the completion of the China Friendship Bridge. Male is now a somehwat traffic choaked hot and relatively dirty city with Hulhumale a relatively quiet place to stay with plenty of good restaurants and hotels to suit almost any budget. In addition there are plenty of options to keep you occupied from shark and manta dives, island tours and windsurfing, paddle boarding and even kite surfing advertised by tour groups located in the area.

Hulhumale is great for crashing out after a long flight or for staying the night before an early flight. It is also a good base for visiting Male by ferry. The long straight beach is made up of broken coral and soft white sand. The off shore reef protects the beach and make swimming safe for children. There are also areas of shade from the palm trees for those who don't want to stay out in the sun.
There are numerous cafes and restaurants of all kinds.

I prefer Hulhulmale to Malé when I have a stopover. It has a beach and isn't that busy and loud. The travelling time from the airport is only 15 minutes.
Hulhulmale offers everything I need for my short stays.

Probably the worst condition of a hotel I have ever seen at...
Probably the worst condition of a hotel I have ever seen at this expensive overprice. The staff was nice and helpful, but was glad it was just for One night. The whole hotel was in a miserable condition and completely No sense of internal decoration. No elevator. Unbelievable smell of urine. The beds were Soft and with a hole in the middel, moldy wet Walls, the White curtains too long and Brown. The airfreshner too strong and overwhelming.
The only consolation was a Great Bombay Indian Restaurant 5-7 mins walk away.
Always tale local taxi and not the taxi the hotel trys to make you take at 5 times the price

Would recommend this side over Male, what some locals said to us. Has a lot of small hotels and more beach area. Male is much more crowded and more concrete, less beaches. A few decent Indian restaurants. But other restaurants were hit or miss-lots of canned and dried foods. So definitely had a hard time with my stomach and some of the meals. But locals were all very nice. Stayed here 2 nights prior to going to a resort but 1 night would’ve been good enough.

Hulhumale is the face of the Maldives that you don't see in the holiday brochures. It is very busy, especially the roads which buzz with motorcycles and scooters.
The physical 'state' of Hulhumale is unkempt and dirty.
Everything about my stay was exceptional; the room, view, food, neighborhood, amenities, & the all of the staff went above & beyond to make my stay comfortable & care free, & they actually appeared to enjoy their jobs. The property owner is very fortunate to have staff that truly understand the concept of providing customer service, something that is sorely lacking in so many places, even the USA. Thanks to them all I had a fabulous time in the Maldives, & will recommend your facility on social media.
A magnificent hotel, indeed. A pleasant stay, rooms are clean, the view is remarkable, variety of options for the breakfast, and the location is prime where all restaurants and cafes are just right next to you. I would like to thank Nash, Shaaly, and Bhagyanath for their support, help, for being professional and friendly, and for their effort in doing everything to ensure that I have a pleasant stay. When I go back to Male/Hulhumale, this would be my place to be. Thank you!

Rooms with enough place for two persons but the pictures from booking are not really like real., good air conditioner.

We booked for 7 days, not to much to do in Hulhumale and Male but they had great trips to other islands at good prices.
1. Location near to sea. All type of restaurants at walking distance, garden also near by, tree top hospital and hulhumale hospital also near by.
2. Play court - football, volley ball,skate court
3. Near to airport - can reach hotel by road within 10 mins from airport. Hotel provided pick and drop service to airport.
4. Language - Staff speak English and Hindi but, need improvement in communication.
Property was really good and Amy gave us company and was very helpful and accommodating. There is a supervisor who gave us a free upgrade sadly we missed his name but he was also very accommodating. The location was great as its near everywhere. Our hotel pick up and drop off was really great also and on time. We even got a discount for that. thank you to Amy and team.
Staff were super friendly and the hotel has a quirky feel to it. I was at the top with an outside area, which was lovely. The location of Hulhumale is perfect with lots of cafes, restaurants and a park in the walking vicinity of the hotel - much better than Male itself. There is a beach but you need reef boots to go into the water.

The venue is quite good with a reasonably fair breakfast and a good selection in the room service menu.
Internet connection was good (usually a common issue in most hotels in Maldives)

everything honestly, i also got a free upgrade from the reception staff and they were very kind and welcoming - i got the room 401 that was very nice with an amazing view ❤️ cant wait to come back to this hotel on next vacation
A nice hotel, ten minutes driving from the airport, suitable for short stay. We stayed there for the night before moving to our resort island the next day. It’s in front of the beach, next to shops in Hulhumale.
The quality of service from the team at the Ocean Grand was exceptional for a small hotel - at almost 5-star level.

We had someone at the hotel meet us at the airport. Very, very nice indeed. Small and cosy hotel for overnight stay. Rooms were clean and nice. However, the bed needs to be change. Creaky and noisy.
