The simple answer is everything, we loved everything! From the staff to the food and location.
We fell in love with Dhigurah, the beach is amazing, plenty of space for you to have peace to yourself, to snorkel at the beach is a plus.
We specifically wanted to thank all the staff, the smile on their faces is something we will never forget.
The 2 ladies from the reception, they are so lovely, such nice people to chat with.
We want to say a special thanks for our guide in our private trip, the care with us especially with our son. Thank you so much, we will never forget everything we saw!

Being into a bigger island you have the chance to experience the life of a local. We really enjoyed the island, hotel was a 2 minute walk from Bikini beach. The restaurant of the hotel is the best of the island. We enjoyed the food over there, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Staff was always very supportive and friendly. Room was very nice and clean with a view to the garden or rather jungle :-). Transportation to the speedboat worked out perfectly. I loved the location, I stayed in a guesthouse the days before, which was also nice, but I stayed on the ground floor in the middle of the island, so the guesthouse was a little dark. The hotel is right at the end of the village, directly at the beach and you can walk from there to the end of the island=the sandbank in beautiful nature along the sea. I especially loved that Dhigurah is not that full of tourists and tourist facilities yet!!

Mohammed and Noman provided phenomenal service and run the hotel with heart. We enjoyed the Manta and whaleshark tour with them and saw lots of mantas! Also, the Maldivian breakfast is very delicious.

Unwind Dhigurah is one of the southernmost hotels on the island, close to the bikini beach (note that the Maldives are very conservative and modest clothing is the norm). The hotel is more like a big modern house with multiple rooms and a shared living area. Breakfast is included and served in the living room or upstairs on the terrace. A la carte lunch and dinner is also available. Our (big!) room was downstairs opening up to the pool. The staff was super, they really cared about their guests and went out of their way for you. The (small) pool is convenient and one of the reasons we chose Unwind. We were dropped off and picked up every day at the harbor for our dives.

You have to arrive at Male airport before 2PM to catch the speedboat or ferry transfers. You do not want to miss a day to enjoy your stay on this beautiful and peaceful island. The water is crystal clear and the sand was super pure. The sand bank was the best part of the island where you can have an amazing experience and enjoy probably one of the best and cleanest beach in the world! It is picture perfect and paradise like atmosphere. You can virtually enjoy a private beach all by yourself and your family!

Note about booking scuba and snorkling - you have to go through your hotel. Dive shops and companies running excursions are able to price gouge because even though there might seem to be independent dive shops on the island, they actually all have an agreement that they only work with guests from specific hotels. There's no competitive pricing here. If you want to do multiple dives at a better price I would recommend going to maafusa.

The Island is long and narrow.
The Island is long and narrow. One end is the inhabited half, with a school, shops, football and volleyball pitches and a few restaurants and guesthouses, alongside the resident's homes. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from one end of this area to the other.
The other end of the island is wooded and then it ends with an incredible spit out into the sea - so you can sit on the sand and have waves lapping at you from both sides - just beautiful.
The island is really beautiful and really laid back. You won't come here for the nightlife (no alcohol!) but the diving is some of the best I've ever done.

Safe place with good people.
Safe place with good people. You can smoke shisha in White Sands Hotel. Fantastic beach. No sunbeds and alcohol there. There is floating bar not far from bikini beach, if you can't live without alco. Don't forget it's not a resort.

Loved this island for its tranquility and friendliness.
Loved this island for its tranquility and friendliness. It was great for a relaxing vacation. The only downside was that several local restaurants that we wanted to try weren't open, but we were there during Covid and Ramadan so that probably affected things a bit.
