Pjazza Suites Boutique Hotel by CX Collection, hotel in Siġġiewi

Pjazza Suites Boutique Hotel by CX Collection offers accommodations in Siġġiewi, 2.6 miles from Hagar Qim and 5.6 miles from Valletta Waterfront.

Lovely small hotel. Can't comment on the size of the other rooms, but ours was very large and had a little outside yard which unfortunately didn't get much sun but was still very pleasant to sit in of an afternoon. The breakfast was great - brought directly to your room and, if you wanted to, you could try a different Maltese speciality every day. Bridget (who runs the hotel) is very friendly and helpful. There is a young man (think he is called George?) who seems to do everything else, ie, prepare the breakfast, clean the rooms, clean the pool area etc. He is a star! Would definitely stay again.

The Westin Dragonara Resort, Malta, hotel in Siġġiewi

Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in St Julian's, The Westin Dragonara Resort, Malta offers 2 private beaches, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, one of which is heated, and 3 restaurants.

We didn't partake in the breakfast pkg. The room was a nice size. Most of the staff were attentive, caring and wanted to truly help and/or understand your situation/question. The concierge was very helpful.

The place is definitely not touristy, which is great if you want to experience a real local vibe. On the other hand it means that there's not much to do - sights are very limited, as well as dining options. It's a good base to explore Malta if you have wheels. Getting to Gozo was less practical - you'll spend 1,5 hrs each way (including ferry).

Siggiewi is a small relatively quiet town away from Valleta and the urbanisation that has spread throughout the north eastern side of Malta. If you want access to these areas know you are rarely more than 30mins away from almost anywhere on the island. You'll also be guaranteed sunshine and temperatures you can cope with in September. Good food is everywhere the only sad thing personally is the lack of wildlife. The extinction that climate activists talk about seems to have already happened on this island. What a shame.

It's an authentic village/small town location with a series of good local restaurants and a great local wine bar. Regular buses provide access to all the main Island towns and sites or it provides a good jumping off point if you have your own transport. Dominated by a huge old church and classic town square with local shops and facilities. Worth a wander through the narrow streets of the old town after dark and a glass or two of local wine in the Levels Wine Bar.
