I honestly could say that it's the most tidiest city in Latvia I've ever been to.
The infrastructure is amazing. Everything is right next to everything.
A lot of stuff to do.
It's beautiful (if you're not looking at the docks :D).
The streets are clean and the planning for pedestrians and the overall nature of the city is amazing.
There are parks around every block. You could just walk around for ages.

Peaceful and friendly city with adorable cats everywhere. The beach is very clean and better than in Jūrmala. There is more activities to do on the beach here. Jūrmala beach is more crowded but more long and shallow. Ventsps is safe, not so crowded and nice parks for children to play in. A treasure to explore. Where are everyone?

Very beautiful city with plenty of sculptures and places to visit. It has many parks, museums. Beach is very well structured - different places for swimmers and surfers.
There is an excursion boat, excursion train. It offers 3 prepared routes in the city to see sculptures - 4km, 8km and 16km

Ventspils is great! Good looking, well kept town. Lovely seaside park for walks (my personal favorite), sea to swim, great open-space museum with historical building, castle. Friendly to kids, there are several ships docked in the town and in the open-space museum where you can climb onboard and explore. Calm, feels totally safe. Nice places to eat.

The town is very picturesque easily walkable because of it's size.
Of particular note was every open space was either or both lawned and planted with amazing floral displays, most street corners conical high and wide flowers bursting with vibrant colours. Even the middle of the roads planted with flowers, the surrounds of public housing blocks having planters and even sculptures everywhere.
Early in the morning I could hear the grass mowers, see the workers attending the flower beds and even a woman, pushing a wheelie bin along the pavement and stopping occassionaly to pick up a piece of litter that had been dropped. The whole town so clean and tidy.
I arrived a week after the season had ended, it was rain and sunshine, so few if any tourists. few bars or restuarants appeared to be open.
Of note was the abundance of finger sighnage boards on most junctions written in Latvian and English, impossible to get lost. Directions to WCs in large letters throughout the town. The pavements and roads well cared for, I witnessed no pot-holes, cracked or broken pavements. In summary the cleanest, prettiest most well maintained place in all of Latvia.

Ventspils is the perfect destination for families with children. There are countless activities for children (and parents) and more than enough to explore, especially mentioning the Vizium, the beach, the adventure park, the water parks and the amazing children`s park in the city!
A very nice house for a vacation next to the center. The hostess welcomes and explains all the details. It will suit both a large company on the 2nd floor or a standard family on the 1st floor. Furnished with antique renovated furniture that gives a real Latvian taste. Equipped with a large lawn for a good summer vacation. A special note for the city of Ventspils is a huge boat in the middle of the garden. We will definitely be back!
Location is perfect, near the beach in quite a quiet street. we had everything we need in the kitchen, good shower, comfy beds, nice garden with the comfy seats and grill. We found a lot of toys for kids, they liked them a lot. TV with Youtube and Netflix. Car parking in a property. Shop is 10 min walk.
Location was perfect! House was nice and checking was smooth as a butter. Only complaint was the Wi-fi. At first it was there, but I guess when other guests arrived, wi-fi just went down and so did the TV.. But that's fine. Ventspils was lovely and we didn't stay indoors all the time anyway
Beautifull house with everything you need inside. Owners very kind and friendly, when we asked recommendations what to see in Ventspils they gave us a lot of places to see and to eat. Teritory guards big and friendly dog. There was allways free space in parking lot.
Very nice peaceful place for staying if you would like to feel the spirit of Ventspils and the spirit of Latvian householder. Feelings like your are at home. Clean, good equipped kitchen area, pet friendly. Very hospitable cat :)
Excellent place to stay. The sea in nearby with a beach and beautiful sand cliffs. And the hosts are very nice and friendly. Had a pleasure to be one of the first guests in this cabin, so the fresh pine smell was very delightful!

Very nice apartment in the center, close to Ventspils bus station. I especially liked high resolution TV that I could connect to my note book and work on the big screen.
The location was great, we were able to walk everywhere in Ventspils without having to drive. The homeowner was very friendly, and the garden outside looked great.
