The view of Lion Rock from the room balcony is breathtaking. The rooms are very modern comfortable and super clean. All I can say about the staff is WOW, they are incredibly accommodating, warm and caring, we asked if they had King coconuts and they had one of their staff climb a tree and bring enough down to serve all of the guests swimming in the pool.

It felt like we were living in a jungle. The pool, the foliage, the birds . . . it was extremely tranquil.
The food was excellent! We ate in town a few times, but my partner and I agreed that our favorite meal was at Into The Wild.
The staff, Nimesh, Suresh, Sameera, Hashan, Sithija, Achala, and Jesse (the large, sleepy dog) were AMAZING. They made sure we were comfortable and happy our entire stay. They remembered our names and made great recommendations for things to see and do. Smiles all around :)

So much to do and see! 3 nights is plenty, but easy to fill it! Climb the rock, absolutely do a village tour; go for a herbal massage (but prepare for a different kind of massage to normal!); and go on safari! We had a driver which made getting around super easy, but there are countless tuktuks you can rent.

It was a very expensive entry fee to the rock, USD32 per person. The guides around the base are very persistent and can become a nuisance. We had a good tuk tuk ride round the base, which was lovely and booked privately, oh and it's perfectly ok to haggle on the price.
Plenty of local cafes and juice bars. Fab place was The Green Hut Hotel, just 10 mins walk from Lion Rock, lovely rooms, great English speaking host and super food. Local temple worth a 15 minute look see.
Tuk tuks everywhere and good value.
Safari to Minneriya was great, saw loads of elephants.

We spend one night here.
We spend one night here. Depending on what you want to do it was plenty of time. We arrived in the early afternoon checked into our accommodation and went to Dambulla Cave Temple. The following morning we got up before sunrise to climb Lion Rock, which despite what people say, is worth it. The fee was acceptable for us since it is a UNESCO site. After the hike we had breakfast and made our way further south.

What a wonderful location!
What a wonderful location! The pool was a true blessing after our exhausting flight, and the environment is quite soothing. Asanka's meal was incredibly delicious. The personnel was really helpful!
Friendly staff. We talked to the owner and he told us his story on how he built the hotel. He even took the courtesy to take a few nice pictures for us with the beautiful scenery of the resort. Our suite had a view over the Sigiriya rock and Pidurangala which were mesmerizing in the morning. The resort is very green and cozy. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the dining area is pretty. Our suite was roomy and very comfortable, with lots of interesting design elements. Really liked the toiletries.
Very nice family, Amal and his wife Sabita were so kind. Big and clean rooms, hot water. Sabita is a good cook and we‘ve had the best chicken and pumpkin curry! Sigiriya rock is very close and easy to reach from this place.
They were very helpful, they organised a national park tour for us and drove us to Dambulla in their car (1000LKR).
Also we rented a scooter from Amals brother and when we‘ve had an flat tire they were very nice and gave us an extra day for free.
we loved EVERYTHING location, bed, bathroon, hotel manager. It was the perfect place to stay in Sigiriya. Each room would look at the pool and Lion rock which we found amazing. Breakfast was super nice. The guy in charge was incredible friendly. We met Gihan (tuktuk driver) thanks to him and we loved him too: super helpful, he took us to amazing places nearby and told us very interesting facts about the area. We would come back to this place a million times!
The location was close to the Sigiriya Rock foreigners entrance. The hotel was very secure with a wall around and a locked gate. The food was great and plentiful, both breakfast and dinner. The pool was a nice treat in the afternoon after a day of adventures. The water pressure in the shower was good. I liked that the shower was a large walk in style. Plenty of hot water. The staff were very responsive to any requests.
Great place to stay! Excellent accommodation with big room, private bathroom, hot water, a/c, hairdryer, mosquito net. The garden is very well maintained and offers a beautiful view. we had breakfast and dinner and both were delicious. Shen is a great guy, nice to talk to, kind and always willing to help. Our stay here was very pleasant and I would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Sigiriya.
We booked this hotel for 2 nights but we were so happy about this accomodation that we decided to extend our stay an extra night!

The hotel complex was just perfect for relaxing and taking a time out. There were some tropical birds you could watch, while laying at the pool..
The sigiriya center is only 5km away and it is also possible to go there by bicycle, if you want :).
Lastly, the staff is extremely friendly and courteous. They really try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
It’s a lovely property in the jungle, very cute cabins and a great value! The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming, 100% recommend staying here! Location is also great for Sigiriya and Pidurangala, highly recommend hiking Pidurangala at sunrise, even though it was a bit cloudy when we went, it was still a gorgeous view. We also got to see monkeys!
We thought that the food was excellent, staff helpful without being overbearing and great pool. The hotel seems likely to be owned and operated by a local family so it's good to support rather than the bigger chains. Best place we stayed in Sri Lanka and exceptional value for money. Location just outside of sigiriya village which is what we wanted.
Literally the best hotel in Sri Lanka for our 3 weeks trip. Just opened in mid-march '24 (we were first booking.com guests) - all equipment and supplies are brand new and good quality. Nice clean & pure design of rooms. Good breakfast. Excellent pool. Definitely worth the money. Best recommendations.
I really liked the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of all of the staff! Priyantha and his whole family are so kind and giving. They helped us arrange transport, helped us do our laundry, and fed us the best breakfast. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a homey feeling when in Sigiriya.
the cleanest hotel rooms in all of sri lanka..and rooms with the best views of both rocks in sigiriya. staff were amazingly friendly, the owner was helpful and made us feel at home. the food was delicious and options of both local and western cuisine, so me and the kids were happy.
Excellent breakfast (best that we had in Sri Lanka I must say!). The room was comfortable and spacious and the property is in close proximity to Sigiriya UNESCO site. If you are lucky you will spot an elephant taking a bath in the village river.
Such a lovely hotel! It was just 2 rooms in a peaceful area of Sigiriya but not too far from the Main Street. The people running this place were so lovely and accomodating. The breakfast was outstanding. Took had good AC and a ceiling fan.
