The view of Lion Rock from the room balcony is breathtaking. The rooms are very modern comfortable and super clean. All I can say about the staff is WOW, they are incredibly accommodating, warm and caring, we asked if they had King coconuts and they had one of their staff climb a tree and bring enough down to serve all of the guests swimming in the pool.

It felt like we were living in a jungle. The pool, the foliage, the birds . . . it was extremely tranquil.
The food was excellent! We ate in town a few times, but my partner and I agreed that our favorite meal was at Into The Wild.
The staff, Nimesh, Suresh, Sameera, Hashan, Sithija, Achala, and Jesse (the large, sleepy dog) were AMAZING. They made sure we were comfortable and happy our entire stay. They remembered our names and made great recommendations for things to see and do. Smiles all around :)

So much to do and see! 3 nights is plenty, but easy to fill it! Climb the rock, absolutely do a village tour; go for a herbal massage (but prepare for a different kind of massage to normal!); and go on safari! We had a driver which made getting around super easy, but there are countless tuktuks you can rent.

It was a very expensive entry fee to the rock, USD32 per person. The guides around the base are very persistent and can become a nuisance. We had a good tuk tuk ride round the base, which was lovely and booked privately, oh and it's perfectly ok to haggle on the price.
Plenty of local cafes and juice bars. Fab place was The Green Hut Hotel, just 10 mins walk from Lion Rock, lovely rooms, great English speaking host and super food. Local temple worth a 15 minute look see.
Tuk tuks everywhere and good value.
Safari to Minneriya was great, saw loads of elephants.

We spend one night here.
We spend one night here. Depending on what you want to do it was plenty of time. We arrived in the early afternoon checked into our accommodation and went to Dambulla Cave Temple. The following morning we got up before sunrise to climb Lion Rock, which despite what people say, is worth it. The fee was acceptable for us since it is a UNESCO site. After the hike we had breakfast and made our way further south.

What a wonderful location!
What a wonderful location! The pool was a true blessing after our exhausting flight, and the environment is quite soothing. Asanka's meal was incredibly delicious. The personnel was really helpful!
Friendly staff. We talked to the owner and he told us his story on how he built the hotel. He even took the courtesy to take a few nice pictures for us with the beautiful scenery of the resort. Our suite had a view over the Sigiriya rock and Pidurangala which were mesmerizing in the morning. The resort is very green and cozy. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the dining area is pretty. Our suite was roomy and very comfortable, with lots of interesting design elements. Really liked the toiletries.
Great location, next to everything in Sigiriya. The first night, we didn’t see we booked a room without AC, so it was really difficult since it was almost 35 degres Celsius during the day. But the next morning, we asked our host to change room (with the normal supplement) and it was much better.
Also, we asked our host to book for us a taxi from the airport, and also the next days to visit Polonnaruwa and Dambulla. It was great, Lionel and his nephew (our drivers) are such nice people, we loved them
we loved EVERYTHING location, bed, bathroon, hotel manager. It was the perfect place to stay in Sigiriya. Each room would look at the pool and Lion rock which we found amazing. Breakfast was super nice. The guy in charge was incredible friendly. We met Gihan (tuktuk driver) thanks to him and we loved him too: super helpful, he took us to amazing places nearby and told us very interesting facts about the area. We would come back to this place a million times!
Great jungle vibe and nicer than the photos suggest. We spent a fantastic couple of days here exploring Sigiriya and Dambulla then relaxing by the pool, surrounded by coconut trees, and drinking tea on the terrace. Staff were great at helping us organise taxis and tuk-tuks to get around. Good, reasonably priced cafe/restaurant on site, and the village of Sigiriya, which has a handful of places to eat, is within walking distance, too.
What made this stay outstanding were the family . Nothing was too much trouble . The Tree House was excellent value for money , clean , spacious in a quiet location but within walking distance of bars and restaurants. The host offers safari and other excursions. He got up at 5 to take us to watch the sunrise over Sigiriya rock . I would highly recommend the traditional evening meal. It was absolutely delicious . The best yet
The location was close to the Sigiriya Rock foreigners entrance. The hotel was very secure with a wall around and a locked gate. The food was great and plentiful, both breakfast and dinner. The pool was a nice treat in the afternoon after a day of adventures. The water pressure in the shower was good. I liked that the shower was a large walk in style. Plenty of hot water. The staff were very responsive to any requests.
Great place to stay! Excellent accommodation with big room, private bathroom, hot water, a/c, hairdryer, mosquito net. The garden is very well maintained and offers a beautiful view. we had breakfast and dinner and both were delicious. Shen is a great guy, nice to talk to, kind and always willing to help. Our stay here was very pleasant and I would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Sigiriya.

the staff at Sigiriya Kele were incredible, they were always around to offer the best tips on what to do and where to go. We ate dinner here on the first night and it was amazing, the breakfast was also the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The hotel has great pool facilities which are perfect for relaxing after climbing Lions Rock. Location is also good only a 1km walk to the town.
An absolutely delightful stay at Roo Mansala. We have stayed in Dambulla in bigger hotels in the past, but it was a very positive experience being in a small, intimate hotel within walking distance of both Sigiriya and Pidurangala. The staff were charming and could not have been more helpful. Excellent food, very clean rooms. Nothing but positives to say.
It’s a lovely property in the jungle, very cute cabins and a great value! The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming, 100% recommend staying here! Location is also great for Sigiriya and Pidurangala, highly recommend hiking Pidurangala at sunrise, even though it was a bit cloudy when we went, it was still a gorgeous view. We also got to see monkeys!
I really liked the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of all of the staff! Priyantha and his whole family are so kind and giving. They helped us arrange transport, helped us do our laundry, and fed us the best breakfast. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a homey feeling when in Sigiriya.
It’s a really good place to stay in after hard work like hiking Sigiriya and pidurangala. Workers are very friendly, very calm and peaceful food is really good taste, specially Rice and curry 😎😎😎 , I can recommend this place as one off the best hotel in the area . Good luck everyone.
The view of Lions Rock is truly special. We stayed at another hotel during our time in Sigiriya too and can confirm that Hotel Sigiriya has the best view! There is also a lovely spa on site and a nice communal lounge area.
Very nice, cosy and small village place Hotel in Sigiriya. Very natural personell, friendly, not acting nice, but being nice by themselves. Very friendly chef from the kitchen always comming to chat with clients.
Excellent hostel. I want more people to go here. If you wanna to wire off and be in a small beautiful village with great hospitable family, this is the best deal you are gonna get in Sigiriya!
