Staff attitude and helpfulness is not the same standard, our stay of 4 days, first 2 days the girl in the front desk is very helpful, polite and with smiles. The last 2 days the girl at the front desk is not helpful nor any smiles, we simply wanted to change some small bank notes but couldn’t get response.

Not to miss - lakes , canyons and the ski resort area
Local food for hardcore non vegetarians - must try Pulov , horse meat , dumplings, and fresh fruit and juices .
Locals are helpful , friendly and welcoming, keep your language translator app on !!! Very few people speak English .
Recommend to have a local Mobile number for booking taxis , deliveries

A well organised city.
A well organised city. Shymbulak Snow Mountain is very close by to city. Lots of Indian restaurants available. Yandex Go ( Taxi App ) is very nominal and also available immediately from Booking. Highly recommend tourist to use Yandex go. Don't use Airport taxi agents who approach you , they offer less price to get hold of customers however while dropping they charge heavy,so be careful and better not use them. Instead you may use prepaid taxi or Yandex Go.

And about my Apartment now. Host is very cooperative since booking. Give me early paid one day check-in just by message. They also arrange for storage of our luggage for 4-5 hours. I will again stay in this apartment

2.4 big Inhouse fine dining Restaurants gives the most important advantage for tourists specially when it was too cold or exhausted after a day long excursion and not feeling like going out .

Had a problem with my reservation but the Manager Feruz was amazing he helped me to sort it out immediately Great service. Will be going back.

Had arranged for a pick from the airport which was arranged (for a fee). Room was good and spacious. WiFi was adequate around the property. Staff were helpful and mostly comfortable with English. Location was quite convenient to a lot of places that can be covered on foot and lot's of eating places around.
The location of this hotel is so central and it overlooks plenty of park space. Rooms are big, well equipped, super comfy and the shower was great.
Mostly though, it was staff who went out of their way to help me navigate my first trip to Kazakhstan with zero knowledge of the languages spoken or the written alphabet. They all helped me in one way or another every day!
It also has a lovely swimming pool and spa :)
Location was ideal, right near Kok Tobe cable car. Breakfast we good. Adequate options and they made it available earlier than their usual schedule on our request. Staff were helpful in ordering transportation to the airport for us. Room and the whole hotel was modern. Loved the marble on the walls in the bathroom and the skiing painting in the stairwell/dining area. It was also possible to get massages there.
A SMALL HOTEL IN Central Almaty. Near all the attractions in Almaty. Next a 24 hour supermarket. The room itself is decent enough and clear. The amenities were basic but do the job. I have no complaints about the size of the room. Hotel is inside a residential building. Very quiet at night. I slept well. The hotel staff were polite. Almaty is getting pricey. I do find this hotel is somewhat budget friendly.
This is my second visit to Kazakhstan. I also lived in this area before, but there was no room in the hotel I stayed in before, so I found this apartment. It was very good, very clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped, so it was convenient to make some food. There are several supermarkets around, so it's convenient to buy things. The host is very considerate, and the check-in process is clearly explained.
One of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. Farman in the reception was so kind. He also gave me an upgrade to the suite room. Even though the bellboy was not available he took my luggage upside himself. Breakfast is another thing to appreciate. Super cool options. Very good. Prime location. Walkable distance to kok tobe. The rooms are very good. Clean.
The location of the place is near the Kok Tobe cable car. At first you find it looks like your far from the center but its near actually. Its walking distance. Its near the Kazakhstan Hotel. There is Korean restaurant in front of the hotel. :) :) :) For those who are not a meat lover like me, its a big plus. Price is just right for a 3 star hotel.

Great location, huge, well-appointed room. Breakfast was varied and excellent quality, with espresso drink, meats, cheeses, breads, jams, fruits, vegetables, and a huge assortment of pastries. The hotel arranged airport transportation for a very reasonable rate, and allowed us to check in at 6 AM (and get breakfast) for a reasonable add-on.
Good location, easy to get to the main Almaty attractions from the hotel. The area is mostly quiet, so I managed to have good rest at nights.
Room is spacious and clean, the amenities (like shower gel, toothbrush, bottled water) are refilled daily.
Nice breakfast, but better to have it earlier, as the selection is better.

Super cozy apartment with a great location, everything you might need was available and present including all possible kitchen appliances, extra blankets, pillows... e.t.c - same as in a 5 star hotel. Friendly and trouble free owners. Definitely recommend and would stay during my next trip to Almaty.
Well that was the best deal ever. Mika hotel is in the perfect spot of Almaty for a tourist. Right in the heart of city. It's super clean with big rooms, pleasant people, good breakfast and nice atmosphere. For the price we booked it (50 euros per night) I think it was a steal!
The place is so relaxing and very cozy. It is so neat that it exceeded our expectation. If really feels more than home away from home. Kudos to the host! They are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will definitely choose them when we come back to Almaty, Kazakhstan.
