Beautiful beach location for a relaxing stay. The ferry stops right in front of the resort. Friendly and helpful staff. If you want a place to chill for a few days, this is it. If you want to explore the island then you probably need to stay somewhere else. The only transport options are water taxi and organised tours. There's a very small mini mart about a 10 minute walk away but it only stocks a very small range of goods.
Set on Saracen Bay in Koh Rong Samloem Island, Pearl Beach Resort & Spa offers accommodations with an infinity pool and a sunken bar just right in front of the beach.

The staff and owner was very accommodating and helpful. The resort is at the end of the island which is a bit far from the port but they have a free pick-up and drop off. I booked this resort because we wanted to do fishing, And yes, we enjoyed fishing and catched lots of fish. The rooms are newly renovated, clean with comfortable pillow and comforter. The place is very relaxing as it's far away from the crowd. I will surely come back to this resort. The room rate is very affordable.

Bamboo Jam has a very good location. It's right in the middle of the beach so it's close to both piers.
Cabins are on the beach and have a great view. Breakfast is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice for walks. nice bays, beaches. The nicest beach and resort i think is lazy beach I think. It is more remote very much built into the jungle and layed back , snorkling available - good corals if the water is clear apparently. You can walk from there accross to the main beach: Saracene bay, not far.

Prior to travelling to Sanloem I read online that there are no roads on the island and was therefore quite shocked to see the massive, wide, bulldozed dirt roads that had been carved into the island's untouched jungle. Upon investigating the matter, we found out that a Chinese owned company has rented half of the island from Cambodian government and is planning on building big hotels and casinos around the island. So, what you saw during your visit year ago is totally different from this year. I dread to think what the island will looklike in 5-10 years time.

Long Time Visitors to Koh Rong Sanloem.
Long Time Visitors to Koh Rong Sanloem. Stayed at Lazy Baech for many years when it was only accommodation on Island and Saracen Bay was development free and a 25min walk through Jungle. Now they have cleared a 4 lane road through the Jungle from Saracen Bay to Lazy Beach. Just stayed at M'pai bay for first time and it my new favorite location in Koh Rong Sanloem. Nice village feel in nice bay with a fantastic main beach around the headland that is not developed. Lots of great Food and Drink options and allround friendly owners.

Nice and quiet island, small enough to cover the main sights on foot. We loved lazy beach but weren't so impressed by Saracen bay. This is mainly because of the amount of rubbish in the water/sand but I guess it depends on the currents/wind. The island itself has very basic facilities and reduce accessibility, I don't think it would be suitable to someone on a wheelchair or using crutches.

This is a great place to relax and sit around on the beach, plenty of activities if you want but we just relaxed.
We ate at Saracen Bay Resort most of the time, great food and very reasonably priced, seemed to be cheaper than other places along the beach.

The resort is located by the lagoon a 10-45 min walk from the other hotels on the main beach, which gave the resort a peaceful touch. There is a nice little private stretch of beach just outside the hotel with a pier where you amazingly could be completely alone for the most part! The staff was helpful, easy-going and flexible. The cabins were charming and very close to the lagoon. There was no AC but a pretty quite ceiling fan in the middle of the room just above the beds that did the job will enough in march.
This place is an absolute gem. I almost stayed elsewhere on Saracen bay and am SO GLAD that I changed to Lazy Beach. It's very private over on Lazy Beach and chill, much cleaner and doesn't smell like burning plastic and gas. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, the accomodations are very primitive but lovely. I stayed with three kids and after a month of traveling is SEA, this is our favourite spot. I cried when we left. Snorkeling right on either end of the beach, great food, everything here is amazing.
Lovely hotel in middle of Saracen Bay. Beautiful beach outside, great for swimming and lounging. Nice restaurant - good food with a friendly atmosphere.
Room was clean, quiet, very good air con. Comparable size to elsewhere on island! Great location. Short walk to bars, mini-mart etc and to start of paths to Lazy beach and Sunset beach.
Helpful staff - booked massages, arranged pickup from and drop-off to main pier and helped confirm our ferry for departure.
Beautiful location right on the beach, which was cleaned every morning. We definitely had the nicest stretch of beach compared to other hotels/hostels nearby. The rooms were really spacious and felt luxurious. Because the resort was quiet when we visited, we were upgraded to beach front rooms which was a real treat. The staff were so friendly and helpful, answering all our questions and helping with excursions and onward travel.
Service and food were excellent.
You will not find anywhere else where you’re made to feel so welcome, so looked after, and so pampered. We’ve travelled all over the world and honestly this was some of the best experiences in hospitality and attention to detail we’ve come across. A superb team in an absolutely stunning sea front setting. We stayed at each of the different accommodations along Sunset Beach and this absolutely kicked ass of the others. Hands down the winner. Highly recommended.
firstly the location is an oasis....it doesn't get better than this, the perfect beach. beautiful ocean, white sandy beaches. And then you arrive at Kamaku bungalows and Julia and Oscar make you feel like one of the family. The evolving tapas menu and traditional Cambodian food is amazing. The accommodation for dormitories are basic and clean, there are great bungalows there, and of course hammocks to lay in alllllll day. I will be back
The staff are amazing, food is great. This is clearly one of the best places to stay on the island at this time - many other places are closed. They even accept credit cards for a small fee. Most people from other hotels seemed to come here for dinner and drinks. The breakfast is included and it's great - so many options!
Beautiful location at a beautiful beach. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a private beach a 25 min walk from Saracen Bay, but the it also offered a free ride with a tractor so that we didn't have to carry the luggage. We enjoyed our stay very much and definitely recommend it!
Had an amazing time at this place. The reps Frazer, Aidan and Nim were awesome, made everyone feel welcomed and always tried to get everyone involved in the activities held at the bar. Super easy to meet people and a great location away from all the other hostels and resorts on the island :)
a little oasis on koh rong sanloem. I stayed in the dorm, which was beautiful, comfortable and mosquito-free. yoga classes every day were an awesome extra, as well as the super nice shampoo/soap/conditioner that was provided. not a party place, but still a very sociable and fun place to be.
The beach front hostel was really great! We arrived from the pier and caught the free shuttle boat service over. The staff were always super friendly and welcoming! Good food options and room itself was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend when staying in Koh rong sanloem
The location is pretty decent, right on the beach near other small hotel restaurants. The staff was helpful and nice. The beds were decently soft and the private room was spacious. The power stays on throughout the day. There were very few power outages when we visited.
The location is beautiful and overlooks the beautiful Sunset beach. The dormitory is spacious and comfortable. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and dynamic. It's probably the best place on the Island of Koh Rong Sanloem !
An amazing oasis in Koh Rong Sanloem. We loved our time at Sol - we stayed in a beach front bungalow and it was heaven. A short walk from the main restaurants/bars and incredible service by the staff.
The restaurant and lounge is great for relaxing. There is a snorkel spot just right in front of the hotel, but you have to pass some stones first. There is a good place for work out.
Beautiful location great accommodation.
Food in restaurant was delicious
Paradise each time you step on to the beach which is literally meters away from your accommodation
This was our 2nd stay at the property, it was delightful. Particularly, Mr. David (Hotel manager) and Mr.Sathapana at the hotel went out of their way with exceptional service .
The beach and pool are always fabulous and the staff work really hard. There are not many other hotels with pools and it’s always full of families with kids which we like.
A great place to stay when you visit Koh Rong Sanloem. Suzi makes you feel very at home. Loved my time there ended up staying 3 weeks. Hope to return again in the future.
