The city is awesome, surrounded by nature and the weather...
The city is awesome, surrounded by nature and the weather was great although the last day was starting to become super hot. The sense of hospitality is non-existent and for non-arabic speakers it is super challenging.
The only beach club worth going is Berenice as it is cheap and has a natural beach (although it's sea beach and not ocean one). But do not expect good service as it does not exist in the city.
If you are going to dive or other outdoor activity, I recommend but to enjoy sunny days by the beach, look for another place to go.
Food is also good but again, they have no sense of hospitality and if you don't speak Arabic it gets worse.

AQABA ....
AQABA ....
City full of life and color at the Red Sea, with traditional food & music, good people, very lively public beach!
Markets, terraces, shops, warm and welcoming people, as in all of Jordan, by the way.
Wonderful market of spices and teas!
You can serve the meal, with confidence, on all terraces! Excellent traditional food!
You have to visit Aqaba to feel everything!
Ayla neighborhood, wonderful!
Berenice Club Beach an extraordinary experience at the beach, with an excellent vacation vibe, very good music, club equipped with everything necessary, wonderful employees from the bar and entertainment!
Amazing beach!
Thank you, Aqaba, for all you offer!

Aqaba is just another urban city.
Aqaba is just another urban city. A partying, high on night-life kind of place.
There are several food options and is generally easy on the pocket.
The Aqaba castle is okay, the museum is good, and is interesting only if you have a curiosity towards T.E. Lawrence and the story of the family. Which I think you should. You can easily spend an hour in that museum.
The public beach is an interesting place to visit to see the city's people, and not the beach as such.
I would say a day and a night and a checkout the next day should more than suffice.

I loved my hotel and the walk at Ayla!
I loved my hotel and the walk at Ayla! The food at Ali’s Central Restaurant was excellent too.
I visited the bazar / souq, and I don’t recommend that as it was so busy and nothing really there except cheap Chinese products
Leaving Aqaba and dealing with customs was a nightmare!

Aqaba is a wonderful city & port with a wonderful sea,...
Aqaba is a wonderful city & port with a wonderful sea, beaches, weather, shops, hotels, restaurants, museums etc... People are very hospitable and friendly. Great landscape, palms, mountains, city tours and boat tours available all the time, this is apart from all the other water activities you can enjoy. You will also find a variety of shops with different items and reasonable prices. I strongly recommend to visit Aqaba at least once. Yet, if you have visited it once, you will visit again and again.
We were just there and are already planning for our next trip soon.
Definitely, we will visit again....
I recommend this hotel for many reasons:
firstly good zone around all shopping and the beach by walking
2-clean rooms with modern form with room service
and silent room
3- good men on reception fadi and omar(Jordanian )
the all of time take me as friend and purpose all dealing for small trips in city with economic prices
and they suggest for me all restaurant with good price with nice quality
4- there is Egyptian one is named Ahmad work in breakfast room
he only interest to see you get out from breakfast with smile and full abdomen
For sure the location, then comfe bed and then the view wile having breakfast. Hotel rooms are fancy and have minibars and all staff from booking description. I want to help everyone who searching for beaches. You can find one most beautiful beach on the south about 15 minutes of driving from hotel. Use taxi or rental car. The name of this beach are Japanese Garden and it is free. You will feel most beautiful sunset... Just stay late afternoon.
The hotel was in a fantastic location, in Tala Bay, which is a beautiful little place with a great marina, restaurants and private beach (with beach club). We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tala Bay. At the hotel, we enjoyed some good food upon arrival from the bar. Mohammed on reception was always incredibly helpful and ensured our stay was a pleasant one, and the young lady making omelette’s at breakfast was in very polite and professional.
Breakfast was a standard Jordan hotel breakfast but they did change up the hot dishes each day and they were pretty good! We loved the large room with high ceilings and great view over Aqaba and the bay. The bed and sheets were good. It felt like a boutique hotel in these respects. Great on site parking and it was easy to drive to the waterfront area for dinner and walking along the beach.
The property is located close to the beach. Corals and fish can be seen even without swimming. The rooms are ordinary 3-bed hotel rooms. There is Wi-Fi, but it works only close to the reception. They have a restaurant but we decided to go to the restaurant on the beach where grilled fish was exceptional. Breakfast is okay. They rent snorkeling equipment which can be used close to the hotel.
Brand new rooms, perfectly clean, view and balcony, exactly like in pictures in Booking, perfect spot. steps to the beach and beach restaurants.... Just a note that the restaurants do not serve alcoholic drinks and the woman can not swim in bikinis. We went to the beach 7 km south, with restaurants and facilities, pools, beach chairs and sunbrellas. Short drive from the hotel.
The hotel was nice enough, comfortable and clean room, nice pools and beach. When you could find a staff member the majority were friendly enough. The breakfast was nice with outside seating available. Ice water dispensers on the beach was a nice idea. This was the best of three 5 star hotels we tried in a week in Aqaba (Movenpick Tala Bay and Grand Tala Bay being the others).
This is 4 star Jordan hotel, not European. However facilities are ok, rooms are rather clean, windows outside are not. Roof top is ok, but again old furniters, and really small pool with cold water. Generally nice hotel, a bit of walk from center, with nice view, good breakfest, variety of drinks and food from menu also. There is a place to park a car under the hotel.
I see the place very friendly and relaxing, we stayed in other 3 places in Jordan and this was the best. Our room was small and the furniture and bathroom a bit worn but of course, for this price you cannot expect 5 star hotel :-) Staff took great care of us.
A five star hotel in aqaba with great facilities including private beach. outstanding breakfast .
After staying in much expensive hotels in aqaba I enjoyed my stay in Intercontinental and will stay there in my next visit. Mohanad at the reciept desk is 🏅🏅
Super hotel. Nice staff and especially the wonderful owner who always helped us and was very helpful. Beautiful clean rooms. There is a dining room on the 7th floor, where you can have a hookah and watch the panoramas of Jordan. I warmly recommend❤️
Hotel is new and luxurious. The rooms and lobby smell like fragrance. Very well appointed staff good safe parking. All this hotel misses is a swimming pool and sauna otherwise it could be a boutique resort. Breakfast was nice. Quality was 5 star.
The most helpful staff!! Everyone was very nice and helpful! The location was about 10 min walk from the city beach. The wifi was great. The breakfast was traditional Jordanian style which was good. Also, hotel was very clean and new.
The host was very welcoming and helpful. The property is well situated close to many pools and close to the supermarket inside the Tala Bay complex. It has a beautiful balcony overlooking one of the main pools. We really enjoyed it!
Best Place on our trip thru Jordan ,this hotel is not a mega Hotel it has a great size to feel home everything was great breakfast ,the stuff ,the rooms ,the little reef at the beach , wow great thank you knopf tours
Room was the cleanaest and the most comfortable i had seen in jordan. And i stayed in 4 different hotels. Beach and the pool is great and cheap to get in.
