Fun walking the boardwalk along the lake. Rented Hobie Cat near the hotel, lots of fun. Lake gets really windy in afternoon, excellent sailing/windsurfing, etc. Restaurant at hotel is exceptional. Walking distance to center of town. Really nice place. Highly recommend it!

We have visited Lake Garda many times and have stayed predominantly in Riva which is our favorite of all the other locations around the lake. As Riva is so accessible to other places like Verona and Venice it’s an ideal base for travelers. The fact that you have so may activities at hand if you’re into walking, sailing, cycling etc you certainly won’t be bored! it’s a fabulous place to visit and absorb the atmosphere whilst admiring the scenery which we love so much. I look forward to my break every year and of course the cuisine and wines on offer are fabulous. I would highly recommend you visit this wonderful place.

Riva del Garda made a perfect base for exploring the area. It's a very walkable town and had great beaches and a brilliant pedestrianised area for the evenings with loads of restaurants.
We enjoyed exploring the different eateries, and there's so much variety - we never had a bad meal, but I would say the restaurants on the front have the best views, but the ones further back had slightly better food!
I'd recommend taking the ferry out on the lake - Malcesine & Limone were great trips to do from Riva del Garda, but personally I would drive to Sirmione if you can, as the boat there/back was very busy and took forever!

Lovely little town set between the lake and hills / mountains. Lots of restaurant options (we didn't have a bad meal while there), cycle paths, trail walks etc. and the option to take the ferry to Limone, Malcesine etc. The street entertainment in the evenings is good, singers etc. The whole family really enjoyed it.

It is the most beautiful place I have ever visited and I already cannot wait to go back! The water is crystal clear and so refreshing on a hot day. There are loads of great places for food and drinks, plus the Speedy Gonzale boat tour to Limone and Malcesine meant that we could explore other beautiful areas too. We both thought we would need to get buses, but ended up walking everywhere within Riva and did the same in Limone and Malcesine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lake Garda as a holiday destination
The setting is spectacular which we could partially enjoy from our room but it is accessible for all from the rooftop bar and hot tubs. The breakfast buffet was also excellent - we stayed in 3 different hotels while there and this was by far the best. The location was also perfect for us and walking distance from shopping and restaurants and of course the lake shore. Staff were also accommodating and friendly. We ate dinner there the first night which was also very enjoyable, especially the pasta with beetroot and hazelnuts.
The location was fantastic. Very helpful staff. The parking was much easier than we expected. You can register license plate with hotel to pull into restricted zone to unload luggage and pull back in at end of stay to load luggage. Covered parking is five minute walk with easy tunnel and elevator to parking garage. After seven weeks all over Italy…this was the best breakfast. The restaurant for dinner was a fair price and good food with of course an amazing view.
The staff at Hotel Villa Roma were amazing! They are so welcoming, and helpful with recommendations for what to do and where to eat in town. The location is perfect for walking to the lake and restaurants. They also provide bikes free to use which was a really fun amenity. The staff also provides a wonderful breakfast spread which we all enjoyed. I would absolutely stay here again in future trips to Riva Del Grada!
The place was everything i wanted from a hotel. Not only that its placement it’s inside the heart of Riva del Garda , but also the hotel has a lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, and great facilities.
Also the staff offered us the service that I asked them prior to our visit. I was enchanted how well they followed my instructions !

Fabulous suite in a great location. Katia was so pleasant to chat with and provided helpful suggestions. The free bike usage was perfect for getting down to the lake. We stayed in suite 1 which includes a little private outdoor patio which was perfect for eating dinner or relaxing with a glass of wine admiring the gorgeous mountain views. Our only regret was not booking a longer stay.

We really loved our stay here. The hotel is very nicely decorated, and has a very good position. We rented bikes from the hotel and it was a nice walk to the city center.

Grounds are amazing. Room comfortable and spacious. Food at all three restaurants was very good. Great location about 10 min walk into Riva Del Garda. Hotel staff friendly and accommodating. I f you can afford pay the extra and get a room on the top floor in the main hotel as the balcony looks out over the stunning grounds, mountains and lake.
Very good place to stay at when travelling by car. Riva del garda beach is conveniently a walking distance and if you don't bother to go anywhere, then you can just relax at the cozy small spa or at the outside pool in the garden. Great breakfast, friendly and welcoming staff, hotel bycicles are convenient to get around.
