Our stay at Umi Hotel was absolutely perfect! The location is superb, situated off the main road and surrounded by Icelandic fields, offering a private and secluded atmosphere. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautifully designed structures and rooms. Our room featured stylish Scandinavian decor and was impeccably clean. We dined at the hotel's restaurant, and the food and service were outstanding – among the best we experienced in Iceland. The beach is about a 20-minute walk away, and we enjoyed a peaceful stroll, having the beach almost entirely to ourselves. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning.

This was the cleanest renta I have stayed at in years. The apartments were very comfortable and there was a nice breakfast.

Totally exceeded my expectations! The lamb stew was so good and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Lucia was so kind and welcoming. The dorm was very spacious and it felt like a lively space during day time hours. I wish I could have stayed longer.

This place is about 5 to10mins drive from the nearest main road. Seems like a quiet farm area to me. The key is self collection and you are able to park your vehicle on the premise for free. Everything is so comfy here and it is getting real dark during night hence make it a good spot for aurora hunting. Got the necessary facility in the unit as well. We are the sole guests during that night so can't really comment on soundproofing part that we read from other comments. Overall I would say it is a good place to spend your night at Iceland

Our stay at The Garage was truly incredible! Nestled at the foot of the mountain, the location boasts a stunning waterfall right behind the property. Despite the farm being fully booked the night we stayed, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The scenery is breathtaking, and the surroundings are wonderfully serene. The hosts were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed exclusive use of the jacuzzi on our first night. On the morning of our departure, we took a peaceful walk to the waterfall and had it all to ourselves, which was a delightful bonus. The room was stylish and immaculate, complete with a small kitchen—perfect for traveling with a toddler. We would love to return to this wonderful place!

Great location, lovely place, got to see the northern lights from the hot tub!
We used our own bath towels. The directions for filling hot tub with fresh hot water were easy to follow. Buy food in town on the way as grocery store is about 45 min away. We rode at the stable next door farm 2 days. The cottage was a great home base for sightseeing and also has a beautiful hike along the canyon in back.
