The location made our visits to the sites we wanted to experience, very accessible on foot. The Karta parking lot for the rental car from TLV was a short walk away from the room. The old Jerusalem is an interesting destination for sure, even if you're not religious. The four different quarters have their own feel, some of the landmarks (wailing wall, the mosque area, ramparts walk) are truly world class. Easy access to day tours to Bethlehem, Jericho, Dead Sea well worth considering. During the day Jerusalem is full of tourists and related nuisances. Yet, early morning or after dark it's a different place that belongs to the people who actually live there. All the barely navigable back alleys are definitely worth exploring. You will get lost :)

Just a buzz of international activity here in Jerusalem. Sites were amazing, moving, crowded and personal. All these things together!!! Views over the city were spectacular, museums were so well laid out. Everything for tourists is expensive, but there are so many to cope with, it is no wonder. Food is great and truly it is a great experience, no matter what is your faith or religion!
