Great bar, coffee, lovely friendly staff. Unfortunately I was there due to a family emergency and had to leave a night early to get back to Shannon.

I booked this because I was traveling from Cliffs of Moher in the evening to Skelling Islands the next day, and the location was perfect along the way. Given that I would have to arrive late and depart early, I communicated this consideration. Lisa stayed in detailed communication throughout the whole experience to set everything up for my late contactless check-in, and get the breakfast ready for my early morning departure. She's a super host! I had eggs , bacon, cheese, irish ham, yoghurt and nuts, and everything was delicious. The place has a very charming and welcoming, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I strongly recommend this stay!

Breakfast was lovely each morning, and the place was cute as a button! Charley, the beautiful, friendly dog on site was adorable. The host, Grace, was very kind and attentive, and her crew were fantastic and worked hard at making sure everyone’s stay was as perfect as possible. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and/or recommend this gem to any of my family/friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay! 😊

We didn't take advantage of breakfast, but everything was well-presented. Aiden our host could not have been more-accommodating, including our late arrival.
We came to visit family. The hotel is so convenient to everything. NCW is a great base for touring around - Tralee and Killarney not far one way and Adare and Limerick the other. There is a bus stop outside the hotel to get you to either of them. People are nice and friendly here but town needs a bit of livening up. Many empty buildings. Lovely boutiques and some lovely small individual shops there. We had fish & chips in the square very nice and coffee in a little coffee shop in a mall.

Newcastle West is my hometown so I'm biased but I hadn't been back for a very long time.
It has changed, so many businesses have
sadly gone and the town is a lot quieter.
That said it's still a pretty town with a castle and a pretty river (Arra) running through it.
The Demesne is a wonderful walk through nature.
The people are still lovely, which is the most important thing!
We stayed at the Longcourt House Hotel, which is excellently run.

Newcastle West is a lovely place, loads to see and do.
Newcastle West is a lovely place, loads to see and do. The Staff were very friendly and supportive to our needs. Food - absolutely delicious plenty to eat. Cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding. Couldn't fault a thing. Music was good along with the craic. We have stayed on a number of occasions and always loved it more each time we go there. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
