A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green spaces of any European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.
Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College houses the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.
Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.
As one of the youngest European cities, Dublin has vibrant nightlife with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.
Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish vacation, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, an independent apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.
Interesting and tourist friendly. Good selection of pubs and restaurants.
Pavements not very friendly to the aged. I saw a few people fall into the street because the edge of the pavement is not clear / clearly demarcated. Otherwise, pavements are smooth and well maintained.

Dublin is an amazing city filled with unique history,...
Dublin is an amazing city filled with unique history, folklore, mythology, and contemporary historical tidbits. Over most European cities, it is the most wheelchair friendly and walkable city we’ve visited. If you choose to visit Dublin, book a few tours inside as well as outside the city to get the entire Irish experience.

I would recommend any of the tours.
I would recommend any of the tours. The Celtic Nights dinner Show and the Irish Trad house party dinner and show have been a favorite. The Hop On Hop Off Bus is great for first timers since it gives you a great view and layout of the city. My travelers enjoy the skip the line Jamesons and Guinness Tour, and The Book Of Kells tour.

Dublin is great!
Dublin is great!
A lot of culture, museums, brewery, distilleries, pubs, restaurants and especially a lot of very good live music in nearly every pub, daily!
And, if it is all to busy for you, take a bustour to the coast or into the mountains, great landscape, with also a lot of history.

Dublin is a bustling city that's walkable.
Dublin is a bustling city that's walkable. The locals are friendly and rightly proud of their city and country. The museums are free and fantastic! Other exhibitions connected to the National Museum of Ireland are located in easy to reach locations and are also free. Lots of pubs with good food and music. Great craic!
The location is great to anywhere in Dublin City Center; be sure to bring trainers/sneakers. If you have no car, no problem, you can take the Dublin express from the airport and be there in 3 stops (less than 30 minutes). The place was clean and very quiet. The accommodation was as shown and quite comfortable for a solo traveler or a couple. Close to grocery shopping (aldi and tesco), so there is no need to panic about having a long walk from the shops with bags. I have been many times to Ireland, and this did not disappoint.
What a beautiful place to stay with all the thoughtful amenities we needed to make our stay perfect! It was down the street from pubs and restaurants and walking distance to the center of Dublin as well as 3Arena.
John showed us around the townhouse to make sure we could find everything and Geraldine was just a phone call/text away.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The garden was a lovely place for coffee in the morning.
We had a short stay but when we return to Ireland we will stay here again!
I had established in advance with the hotel that we could leave our bags early, before check in time, but when we arrived our room was ready which was great. The location is great if visiting Dublin city centre - it was just off O'Connell Street and a couple of minutes easy walk to the Abbey Theatre, where we were headed. The staff were lovely, the beds were comfortable, the aircon kept the room at a comfortable temperature, the room was very quiet, and the shower was great. There was a safe in the room.
Great location with nearby tram stop making getting into city centre and other places easy. My room was very comfortable and very clean. The communal area with plenty of seating and a bar is very comfortable. Continental breakfast was great. Easy check in and check out. Always a member of staff on hand to help. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and that made my stay. Next time I need a Dublin hotel, I'll stay here again. A big thanks to Prafull and all the team
This is probably the nicest, cleanest, best run Hostel we've stayed in, in many years of traveling around Ireland. Clean, clean! Great mattresses, pillows a bit thin, but that's the only negative comment I can make. Nice self catering kitchen, has a car park inside the gated courtyard, a huge bonus in Dublin. It costs €10 a night extra, but well worth it. It's close to city centre and transit systems. I'd recommend this to anyone.
The Schoolhouse is a boutique hotel not too far from Dublin city centre. It's a great location. Inside it is full of charm and the bedrooms are big and comfortable. The staff are great - very helpful & friendly. We ate in the Gastro Bar before heading out for the evening and the food was really good...and whilst expensive, it wasn't a rip off. To finish the evening of we had 2 excellently made Mojitos.
The room was lovely, spacious and very clean. The bed was super comfortable. The facilities were excellent, the TV was a good size and nice to have a coffee maker. The location was excellent with shops and cafes around and the city centre within easy reach. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The price was reasonable for a fairly central hotel in Dublin.
Location , they had everything from toothbrush to energy drinks, as contingencies that you could buy.In Ireland where everything closes down before lunch is digested, it is invaluable. The cafe was excellent as well. Had filter coffee after a while and it was great. Spacious and the prices were super affordable considering it's in the middle of Dublin city.
The room was tidy and perfect for two days visit in Dublin. Located in calm area but close to the city centre. We were kindly assisted to our room and explained how everything works.
Even there is a pub downstairs it did not made any extra noises into our room. The pub staff were friendly and pints served were heavenly as usual in Ireland.
Best Hotel I've stayed in in Ireland hands down. I'm a very picky eater and the breakfast here was the only one I've been happy with from any hotel it had so much choice. Plus being so close to Heuston the zoo and city centre we find it so easy to get everywhere with the luas just across the road. I'll a hundred percent come back
I absolutely loved this hotel. It exceeded expectations. The room was very well designed. The view was amazing. The shower was the best I’ve had in Ireland. The kitchen facilities were so convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, near everything but still quiet. I cannot recommend this place enough.
The hotel is beautiful! All the books about Ireland in the foyer are amazing. The staff were so kind! My son got lots of sweeties from them :) They were very helpful with us too! The location is also ideal; right in the city centre with a direct tram to Heuston and Connolly. There are lots of shops and restaurants around.
The location was great. It was near a bus line and theatres too (if you have time for that). Breakfast was great with a big assortment. The hotel had character with it's windy halls and wood trim. We forgot the plugs for the UK/Ireland and they were available for sale in the lobby (coin machine).
Reasonable price compare to some other hotels in Dublin during the time we were there, but still expensive may be because it's in Dublin, Ireland?
Breakfast was nice & sufficient. Room was clean.
It's not in the main central, but very close to bus stop & tram to get into town.
Lovely hotel situated a good 30 minutes walk away from Dublin city centre. Very nice rooms, albeit a little small, but clean and with high-quality furnishing.
Staff was friendly and courteous and coffee and water was available in the lobby at any time for free.
The hotel was ideally located for our group to go watch the Ireland v Wales women play at the Rds stadium (Leinster ground) and short walk to plenty of local drinking and eating places ..also we thought the hotel was great value for money
It was a really nice Hotel, it wasn't as expensive as others in Dublin. Clean, good size of the room, everything you need. Easy to get into the city centre with the public transport or a taxi. Staff was really helpful and friendly
I expected this to be a low budget hotel. But it was honestly one of my favorite hotel rooms in Ireland. The bed was comfy. The pillows were comfy. The room was well decorated without being over the top. They had ac. It was great.
Great hotel, very clean and the staff are amazing. Fab location 2 mins from Dublin city centre and O'Connell Street. The breakfast is lovely with a great selection of food.
