Loved the quaint little town and the shops, restaurants and pubs available to us. Also, the grocery store was very well stocked and the SPAR there had laundry facilities that we so badly needed to use.

Plenty of excellent restaurants in Clifden from mid-price to expensive. Great coffee and snacks available at very reasonable prices. Good shopping and excellent craft/art/souvenir shops in the town. Beautiful Church with small but sincere congregation. Lovely clean town, adequate parking available.

There is so much to see. I'm a walker and we were able to access many great walks - mountain, sea and forest walks. We had a car to get to locations. Good location for exploring Connemara. Fabulous scenery. Plenty places to eat in the evenings.

A beautiful area in the National Park.
A beautiful area in the National Park. The little town centre was quite vibrant for such a remote area and lots of independent cafes and shops It was possible to do manageable walks (even for us oldies)

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink.
Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. Getting a local taxi was a bit of a problem so we had to drive everywhere, which didn't allow us to have a drink in the town as our accommadation was about 3 miles outside the village.
A true Irish welcome is given to you at this hotel. From the minute we checked in till we left we received absolutely wonderful service. Everyone was so helpful and the food and the room was lovely. The breakfast was a perfect continental spread which exceeded our expectations. I must mention James Joyce the barman who makes the best cosmopolitan cocktail in Ireland. He was such a lovely person and so helpful. A definite must stay if you are in Clifden.
The location was right in the heart of Clifden town just above the Paddy Power- very conveniently located. Parking on the street is pay and display. However, there is a very big Free carpark nearby. The apartment was very big and spacious with a big comfortable couch and TV with Netflix. The heat was on when we arrived so it was very warm and cosy. Fully equipped kitchen was an added bonus. VERY comfortable beds.
Absolutely loved everything about our stay. The location and set up of the Clifden Station House Hotel is fabulous. The station restaurant has fabulous food.
The rooms and beds are comfortable and spacious.
The staff are amazing, everyone from house keeping to reception to bar staff to the guy that delivered our room service to management are so incredibly friendly, helpful and overall fantastic.
The best Irish breakfast we had on our Ireland trip! In addition, there were multiple options on the menu to choose from. The hosts were very friendly and shared some good recommendations, the room was spacious, had a water kettle, tea, coffee and etc. There were so many cows in the lodge, which we found to be very cute :) Thank you very much for a great stay!
We loved the personal family vibe to the hotel which was encapsulated by the personal greeting given by the family dog Roxy in the lobby each day. The breakfast was excellent. Service was excellent and just really enjoyed our stay here. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel for anyone staying in the Clifden area.
The place is like a small boutique hotel than a B&B. It's really clean and very modern. We stayed in a hotel down the road on a previous trip to Clifden and it was like something from The Shining. This was cheaper and much much nicer! The staff were really nice and helpful, too. Lovely breakfast!
Very quiet property with a superb view over the water. Well located close to Clifden.
Nice lounge for evening drinks and a few chairs in the garden to enjoy the sunset.
Breakfast was good and with sufficient choice.
Friendly staff and warm welcome from the hotel dog.
Really enjoyed our 1 night stay at this beautiful house!Rooms are very clean, cosy and comfortable with a great view. Breakfast was excellent with best scrambled eggs in Ireland :) The owner are very welcoming, kindly and helpful. Best place to stay in Clifden.
Beautiful hotel, right in the centre of Clifden, perfect location. Lovely open fire to greet you on arrival, lovely friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast, freshly cooked, & plenty of it. Will certainly go back.
Nothing - The owner was extremely difficult and non accommodating. We had to book another hotel for the night because all the amenities were unavailable. I'm honestly baffled at how this hotel has good reviews.
The hotel was great. Clean, comfortable, and in the centre of Clifden. The stuff was great. Helpful in every thing I need. Thank you so very much. I'll definitely tell my friends, and will come again .
Desmond and Eileen are wonderful hosts. The location is perfect for visiting Clifden. We loved the history and the welcoming atmosphere of the Ben View House. And breakfast was amazing. Thank you!
It's a beautiful part of Ireland and Ballyconnelly is near Clifden for shops, restaurants and pubs. The scenery on the coastline has so many inlets, rocks and mountains it is just amazing.
A beautiful property located just outside of the town of Clifden. The location was very peaceful and quiet. The owners breed Connemara ponies, and were proud to show them to us.
Brilliant location in the heart of Clifden. Room was great with separate bedroom and living area. Very quiet in the evening despite Ireland playing off in rugby World Cup.
