Robin Hill Bed and Breakfast, hotel in Blackwater

A 3-star, family-run bed and breakfast in the heart of Curracloe village, the Robin Hill has a sitting room with a fireplace and views, home-cooked breakfasts, free Wi-Fi and free parking.

Val's breakfast was amazing! The location equally amazing! We were accommodated in many ways asking for ice for our drinks and finding the channels to watch rugby and football. The common space was comfortable and our stay felt like home. Close to pubs and a quick drive to the beach. This was truly a good find.

I did not spend any time in Blackwater.

I did not spend any time in Blackwater. As I was travelling by car I was able to visit the local coastline - a long sea strand backed by sand dunes. Having visited Curracloe the previous year, it was good to explore Northwards. The beach with direct access to Blackwater is uninspiring. It has good parking facilities but the stream there serves as an outfall from the local treatment works. There is access to a much better beach to the South - but with space for only about six vehicles to park. That beach is excellent for sea-bathing,
