Mary's welcome and care of us throughout our stay were beyond what we could have expected, from the apple pie and home cooked breakfast with so many options, to the clean, lovely rooms and willingness to help when we ran into a tourist issue at a different venue, all was just right. Highly recommend!

Loved the beautiful home and location! Hosts were fantastic and we had a lovely stay there. There was everything we needed included in the home, and it was so cozy and inviting. Would definitely stay there again!

A gem in the centre of the vibrant town of Listowel. The room and the hotel facilities were are a modernized version of a traditional grand hotel. The building had a sense of history, situated on the town square and backing on to the River Feale, close to the river path and Greenway.

The room and shower was a tad small for 2 people, but the lovely welcoming friendly staff, great location and a fantastic breakfast made up for that. The location is absolutely stunning and quiet. Sort of rural with cows in the back yard. I would definitely highly recommend this Bnb.

Lot's of local history and just a 20 minute drive to the beach in Ballybunion. We also took the ferry from Tarbert to visit Co Clare on one of our days. We spent one day in Killarney National park this was our longest journey at just over an hour. To sum up Ballylongford is a good place to stay, a good location if you don't mind a bit of driving.

The Castle is quite interesting.
The Castle is quite interesting. It is a strong stone tower construction that you can access on your own and climb a spiral stair up to the top floor. On a nice day the view to the surrounding wetland should be interesting (it raíned when I visited ...)

A hidden gem, the view of the castle from the bedroom window in the morning and the evening, the walks along the coastal areas, watching the tide advance and recede. We only stayed one night, should have stayed longer.

Garrett and Patricia have a lovely b&b in a beautiful peaceful country location. You can walk to the castle that you see from their home and explore it for free. You get a warm Irish welcome from them when you arrive and throughout your stay. The evening meal was a very satisfying home cooked three course meal and the full Irish cooked breakfast really hit the spot. True Irish hospitality!
The owners were wonderful and made the stay very enjoyable. Lovely wee dog, too, Roxie. Breakfasts were good, with the option of cereals & yoghurt as well as the full fry. No view to speak of from my room at the rear of the house, but the immediate vicinity is fantastic and the causeway approach adds to the sense of welcome isolation. I really enjoyed the walks around the island, and visiting the nearby Abbey outside of Ballylongford, as well as Listowel, Ballybunion Beach, etc.
Wonderful stay. Mary was lovely and made us feel very welcome with tea and apple pie upon arrival. The room was a nice size and had a bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. It's a working dairy farm so we were able to watch the cows and Mary patiently answered all of our "dairy farm" questions. We chose this because it was near the ferry that took up to the Cliffs of Moher. Easy trip to the Ferry- easy trip to the Cliffs and surrounding area.
Mary's place is lovely. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and abundant. The best part is how warm and welcoming Mary is. She is truly a gem. We have stayed in countless b&bs, and this was, hands down, our favorite experience yet. Our only regret is not spending more time here. If passing through Ballylongford, don't overlook this spot!
Patricia and Gareth run a nice accomodation. They were very friendly and efficient, serving an excellent breakfast. We felt the overall value was good for the price. Our room, while quite small, was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the nearby Carrigafoyle castle ruins. 15-minute drive to Tarbet ferry for those going north by car.
Honestly the best bed and breakfast I stayed with in Ireland. Such an nice place and those two are just welcoming. I felt really comfortable in my solo trip and the location is just lovely. Food is fresh from the garden and cooked with a lot of love :) so I would definitely recommend!
The location is very good and the surrounding area is stunning. The house and the room reminded me of the time I lived in Ireland. The host is super kind and he made us feel at home.
