The property had a large restaurant and bar. We were able to meet friends and family at the bar. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a beautiful location right beside the river and was close to town.

Keeraun Hill is a pristine, convenient and comfortable house. Every aspect of the property pleased. The owners absolutely went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome. Geraldine even gave us rides into town although it’s only a short walk. Breakfast was delicious (full Irish for me) with excellent coffee. Special mention for Rosie, a most delightful, unobtrusive and loving miniature Jack Russell.

Ballycrossaun is a rural area in the Shannon Valley near Portumna, Galway. Central to most of the West coast. Portumna's Workhouse Museum was an excellent place to vist as was the Castle and Forest. Really enjoyed our visit to nearby Birt and seeing Lord Rosse's telescope (the biggest in the world 1845-1917).
