Had a really lovely time staying in this little gem. It was a home from home. Only a short drive from several counties including Galway, Clare, Offaly and Tipperary. Service on the phone isn't great and no wifi as stated but that didn't bother us. Just get out and enjoy yourself, plenty of places to go and things to do. We went everywhere. Lena is such a lovely host and very informative of things to do around the area and also some local history. Really lovely lady. Thanks for everything Lena especially the lovely eggs you gave us. Hope you enjoyed the onions. Take care Sarahjane, Paul, Dylan and Emily

Keeraun Hill, hotel in Ballycrossaun

Keeraun Hill enjoys a location in Banagher, 14 miles from Cross of the Scriptures and 20 miles from Dun na Si Heritage & Genealogical Centre.

Keeraun Hill is a pristine, convenient and comfortable house. Every aspect of the property pleased. The owners absolutely went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome. Geraldine even gave us rides into town although it’s only a short walk. Breakfast was delicious (full Irish for me) with excellent coffee. Special mention for Rosie, a most delightful, unobtrusive and loving miniature Jack Russell.

Ballycrossaun is a rural area in the Shannon Valley near Portumna, Galway. Central to most of the West coast. Portumna's Workhouse Museum was an excellent place to vist as was the Castle and Forest. Really enjoyed our visit to nearby Birt and seeing Lord Rosse's telescope (the biggest in the world 1845-1917).
