There were a number of adventure/cultural/pampering packages available to add to your stay - I only wish I had time to do more of them. We did a rice field walk which was very good. All of the staff were lovely, and Ketut, the manager, was such a pleasure! The on-site warung, "Warung Melita", was great and the breakfast provided was delicous. Since the resort is a little remote (but not too remote), we chose to eat at the warung for dinners and it was very tasty. We even participated in a cooking class and enjoyed the food we made for dinner that evening. Note that there are other warungs a five to 10 minute walk away.
An extra little added luxury was coffee and tea delivered to our patio early in the morning so it was waiting to be enjoyed when we woke up. The grounds were lovely, beside a river, and the pool was very refreshing.
Set against a backdrop of rice terraces in Sidemen, Teras Bali Sidemen Bungalow and Spa offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and Agung Volcano.

It was a nice little villa tucked away on what seemed like a resort street. The rooms were clean and the pool was lovely. It was close to other spots to eat and we enjoyed the views of the terraces from other locations. The breakfast was ok- I really liked the scrambled eggs and pastry set. The beds were on the firmer side but I prefer that. Overall it was very comfortable and a great price!
Featuring an outdoor pool, Khrisna Hs and Cottages is located at the rice fields in Sidemen and offers accommodations with private terraces and open-air shower facilities.

Sidemen is still not too touristic and does feel off the beaten track. There is a lot of development happening, but locals still see people as people. It is walkable in 30-ish minutes. There is plenty of restaurants, tracks and things to do while being there. Would definitely recommend! Easy to get to and 1 hr away from the beach. Very calm and quiet.

Great authentic area to visit in Bali, the rice terraces are spectacular and also there are some nice views around if you go by scooter. Good area for tourist needs, nice warungs and restaurants ( i recommend Samanvaya) in the area, scooter rental and stores. Pretty close to many waterfalls, views and other atttractions like Penglipuran Village.
The main streets get pretty busy sometimes and some b roads are in a really bad shape, but with a scooter you can overcome everything and the spectacular nature makes you forget any inconvenience.

Good and clean restaurant at the hotel.
Good and clean restaurant at the hotel. Several other restaurants at walking distance. Laundry and motor rental available. Nice traditional pasar only 5 to 10 minutes drive by motor. Great place to start waterfall excursions and rafting.
The countryside at Sidemen is breath taking!
I liked everything about the property and the staff. Can’t express what a great experience we had here. Jack and his family welcome you with open arms and make you feel part of their family. We thoroughly enjoyed the tours we did with Jack, I would especially recommend the one round Sidemen and lunch at his sister’s house, getting up for sunrise was very early for us but a magical experience which we will treasure for ever and we learnt so much during the walk around the rice terraces.
What an amazing hotel. The rooms/villas all have a great outside space with an amazing view! The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacecious and clean.
The hotel is located in between the ricefields and has a beautifull garden.
The surroundings are amazing and Sidemen is a great place from which you can visit a lot of temples/waterfalls.
Breakfast is good and the staff is most friendly and provide good suggestions. Keep up the good work!
Very friendly and welcoming staff providing great service making you feel that there is nothing too much to ask for. The view from the pool and restaurant terrace was a heavenly sight to behold overlooking terraced rice fields with a majestic mountain in the background. The room was spacious and romantic with an equally large bathroom with sunken bath. The hotel grounds were landscaped with lots of flora and fauna and padi fields.
Gladak is a locally run property with two bungalows and a great deal of charm. My partner and I loved our stay with breakfast overlooking a stunning view of Sidemen, a helpful staff by our sides, and wonderful recommendations for our few nights there. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, or small families looking to get away and immerse in Balinese village life in comfort/style.
The location of this homestay is just dreamy - - it's in the middle of rice fields, walking distance from cozy Sidemen 'center'. The huts are spacious and perfectly harmonize indoor and outdoor living: the bathroom is outdoors with geckos and all, while the indoor bedroom has AC, mosquitoe net and storage space. Breakfast could be more generous but was nice.
Loved everything about Embang. A beautiful room with king size four poster bed, huge outdoor shower, and balcony with spectacular view of the valley and mountains. There isn't AC but it was cool at night so I left the doors open (the bed has mosquito net round) The staff were lovely too. Wish I could have stayed longer. Sidemen is such a hidden gem of Bali.
I totally recommend staying at Samanvaya if you are planning a trip to Sidemen. This is a very luxurious resort. The staff was very friendly and helped us to book activities near Sidemen. The breakfast was delicious.
The hotel is a bit expensive for Bali but worth it if you can afford it even for one night.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable with an stunning view over the ricefields. We slept two nights at the other side of Sidemen (10-15 min drive) and the staff was so kind and helpfull to pick up our luggage by car for free! I’m sure this hotel is the best value for money in Sidemen.
Fantastic location, walking distance to very good restaurants. We hired a driver from the hotel to take us to see sites and he was very friendly and helpful! He took us to the morning market, the yellow bridge, a waterfall and rice paddies. Also a beautiful pool and view.
It was amazing 🥲 ! I recommend this place 10/10 😍
We had the best time ever in this hotel. The owners are so kind, helpful and always smiling. I assure you that you will not regret to go there. We can’t wait to come back one day!!

This friendly hotel has 3 rooms and is manage by an amazing family, always ready to help you! You can rent motorbike there and it’s really modern one !
Breakfast is also very good
The staff is amazing and super nice, we really felt welcomed by everyone.
The food at the restaurant is one of the best we had in Bali.
The location is perfect, not far from the interesting trekking paths and from the village of Sidemen itself.
The host is super friendly and his wife cooks amazing meals, especially breakfast. It's close to the walk through the rice terraces and the host also has great recommendations for things to do.
Gorgeously designed huge room. Couldn't stop taking pictures of the room and the view. I came to Sidemen to restore my energy after extensive backpacking and it was a perfect place for that.
Fantastic stay!! Such a beautiful hotel, the view is incredible and rooms are stunning! The breakfast was fantastic with so much to choose from. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again
All of the resort is amazing, wonderful infinity pool, view, tasty breakfast, opportunities sightseeing Sidemen with the hotel's guide - thank you for it
