Lovely town with lots of flowers and trees, very clean, tidy and safe even in the evening. Not loud even in the evening was very quiet near the beach. Preferred Kisfaludy beach (strand). Less crowded and a bit cheaper, also more facilities and better quality/selection of food. Borcsa restaurant has great food and service.

Nice place, you have a lot of restaurants, hotels on all levels starting from street food up until fine dining and top hotels next to the lake. Also shopping is quite fine and you have a great set of activities as well you can do. Hiking and other activities are also possible. Great holiday and weekend getaway location.

Great location to also visit other place on the north side...
Great location to also visit other place on the north side of the lake. We visited Veszprem, Tihany, Heviz, and Keszthely. Lots of beaches close by, our kids really liked Csopak strand and Alsóörs. Balatonfured itself is great for the walk along the boardwalk with all the stalls selling stuff and the tour boat rides in the evening.

The perfect place to visit lake Balaton with your family. The nightlife is not as other parts of Balaton, like for example Siofok, but it is perfect if you vacation with your children and want a calm, safe and relaxing environment friendly for children.

Unforgettable XIX century atmosphere with good Hungarian fish, pork and cow food. Taste the Bagameri icecream, it is the best icecream next to the Lake. If you want to learn and do sailing on the lake Balatonfüred is the perfect location.
Everything was perfect - such a beautiful house with plenty of space for the 3 of us. The location couldn't have been better - it was so easy to walk down to the lake or get supplies from the local shops. The lady who met us was extremely welcoming and explained everything we needed very well. The view from the house was so lovely and we were really able to relax and enjoy our holiday. I would recommend this holiday home to anyone looking for a place to stay in Balatonfüred.
Room had a beautiful position, very quiet with just the bird song from the garden and a view of the lake.
The hosts were very kind and helpful.
Supermarket is just 2-3 min walk away, and the beach is 15 minute walk down the hill. There is a paid parking lot near the beach so you can also go by car if you prefer.
The town is beautiful, with very nice beach and a long promenade with lots of shops and restaurants. Really perfect place for a family vacation.
Very friendly reception by the lovely senior owner. They even speak very good German. Uncomplicated contact prior to arrival. We received valuable information about the surroundings. The air conditioning (at extra charge) was very valuable. Private parking space available. The lively lakeside with many bars and restaurants is within walking distance. However, Balatonfüred is more relaxed than its crowded counterparts on the north shore.
My host....I do not know how to spell her name, was charming and so very welcoming. She was ever so gracious and helpful...even offering to do laundry. She also offered me a choice of rooms to stay in, and as well, recommended restaurants and wineries to tour. The recommendations were wonderful experiences! I could not have been more pleased that I chose to stay at Pension Balatonfured. Thank you!!
Quiet guest house in a winery. The room was spacious, nicely appointed, cozy. They had wine tastings offered. Location is up the hills so nice panoramic views; driving 10-20 min to the towns for restaurants and 20 min to Tihany peninsula for beach and attractions. Hosts were nice; I arrived very late and they were accommodating about that. They have a small restaurant; breakfast was average.
Excellent, welcoming staff – everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was stylish, it had a large balcony and a very spacious bathroom with shower, separate tub and a private toilet. The restaurant at the pool had delicious pizza. The whole hotel was very tasteful and the environment was rellxing and calm (but also child-friendly).
Loved the location as well as the helpful and friendly team of staff — especially Diana who will charm you with her gorgeous smile! Tom on the night shift, and the newbie Krisztina, were great at recommending things to do and restaurants to visit! Thanks to all who I have not named that made our stay quite memorable!
Price for money - exeptional. Although it's an aging hotel the rooms and the facilities are well cleaned and maintained. The rooms are nice and adequately equipped. The location of the hotel is excellent. Food was tasty and there is a plenty of choice between local and international dishes.
The food was really delicious! We loved that drinks were brought from the bar in to the pool area by staff. The rooms felt really modern and freshly refurbished. There was parking right out the front of the hotel, it is located walking distance from the main strip of Balatonfured.
We had a half board - food both for breakfast and dinner was exceptional (not like in usual all-inclusive hotels). Swimming pools were really good. Location is in a heart of Balatonfured. On Easter weekend there were surprises for children and free champagne twice a day for adults.

Centrally located hotel directly at the promenade. In the autumn it was very quiet. The room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner, they even provided us with gluten free options, no-lactose milk, so we were happy despite food allergies.
This accommodation is very clean and comfortable. The two bedrooms and kitchen really big, good size.

Its location is just perfect if you enjoy the view of the lake and the sailing boats. There are restaurants, cafes, bars, and a harbor nearby. There is live music in a restaurant in the evening, which we considered more positive than disturbing.
The hotel offers great food and nice wellness facility. Staff is super nice and helpful. The building is also located 2 mins away from the very heart of the city but still in a nice, quite area.
Apartmen is located directly in modern and beautiful centre of BalatonFured. Room is large, nice and clean and well equipped. Parking lot is in underground garage with security staff.
