The area around the beach is more like a holiday resort but the streets around are fascinating. The higher you go the more you can see of the surrounding area. There are two viewpoints which must not be missed. It is designed for a relaxed stay with family and friends rather than a party all night town.

We have been staying in Balatonalmadi since we were children...
We have been staying in Balatonalmadi since we were children and now bring our own children. We like the Wesslenyi strand and even though our hotel has it's own strand we don't mind paying a few hundred forint to get access to the Wesslenyi. We like the bar there and also the varied selection of eating places. We liked the Goulash restaurant and also the Magayros Langos. We also like the pedaloes and the bouncy floating activity area for the children. The strand is very clean and the lounger hire is reasonable at £3 per day. We also like the shade created by the abundant trees. Can't wait to go back next year.
It's modern nice hotel with good internet, enough parking space... there were lot of guests but dining area was comfortable and never overcrowded.

there is pedestrian bridge that lead you directly to the lake.
On check in we didn't get room we paid for on booking so after we complained we got the bigger one with lake view - really nice and comfortable!
This was the second time we stayed at Hotel Clariss as this is a lovely place at a perfect location - very close to the beach (Wesselenyi strand). Very clean room, super comfy bed and good facilities. The staff was very kind and the communication with the hotel was straightforward. We plan to go back next year too. We highly recommend this hotel!
Very good location with an amazing view overlooking Lake Balaton. It’s also close to a market and within walking distance to restaurants, parks, the lake and city center.
The hotel has a modern design and our bed was very comfortable. They also serve very good breakfast. This is the place to stay for a relaxing vacation.
We enjoyed our stay a lot at Sunkissed Villa. Its interior design is fascinating, there were beautiful vintage furniture everywhere. It was so comfortable that every room has a separated bathroom, so everyone could have their own private space. The view is amazing from the balcony, you can see Lake Balaton as well.
Calm and spacy villa close to the center of Balatonalmádi, I had a large and sunny room with french windows and a beautiful view on Balaton. There is also a nicely decorated common room and balcony for guests as well as equipped kitchen with coffee and tea for guests. Ideal basis for Balaton vacation.

Wonderful place! Highly recommend, a great base for exploring Balaton. Like the best parts of a hotel and a hostel combined - clean, comfortable en-suite room, with a fantastic communal kitchen and a great garden to sit. The host was so kind, waiting for me to even though I was very late.
Great hotel for families in a good location near the lake
We rented the deluxe apartment as a family of four. This gave us loads of space and the option to prepare simple meals and snacks. The pool was perfect and we rented a hot tub which was fun. Staff were so helpful and friendly.
Staff was courteous and welcoming. Food was excellent and varied. Pool was good size and sauna had several options, all in great condition and clean. Plenty of private parking. Directly across the street from the walking and biking trails around Lake Balathon.
Very comfortable and modern place, close to Balaton and still in a calm neighborhood. It was a perfect place to relax with our 1 year old daughter. With the outdoor hot tub we also had the chance to take a bath every day, regardless of the weather.
I loved the convenience of the location. Unfortunately my studio window didn’t look towards the Lake Balaton, but to a nice park with ancient trees, it was still beautiful.
