Not so big, but very close to other cities nearby with a Car. They have a very nice and well-organized beach there and there is no need at all to search for any other. Inside the organized beach area in some shops, you can use a credit card, which is nice if you are just staying for 1 day or so. Otherwise good to have local currency.
location couldn’t be better, on the lake shore facing a wonderful marina. The hotel arhitecture blends perfectly in the surroundings.
Friendly staff except the young lady who was at the reception desk the morning we left. I think she is actually working in the small but cozy restaurant. I will rate it a 10 for all the other staff members, maybe seven o’clock was too early or she was just having a bad day.
Excellent food at lunch and dinner, the whole atmosphere in the restaurant was veryy nice.
Overall we had a very good time.
The hotel is located conveniently next to the beach of Alsóörs. The room was comfortable and the staff always helped with every wish we had. We liked the possibility of leaving our car in their car parking on the day of our arrival (with an early checkin!) and also on the day of our departure. A particular thing we liked about the room was the separate toilet cabinet with its own door within the bathroom.
We felt like home since the very first moment. Adam, Flora and their family were very welcoming and warm. Having the feeling that you are in a family house with full independence made our stay lovely. Beautiful garden, Great location, walking distance to Alsóörs beach… would highly recommend.
The afternoon receptionist was wonderful. Always smiling and super helpful. Rooms are big and clean. Wellness was great with a lot of different sauna options. Although the pool and the jacuzzi are not so big, it is not to crowded and you can even find it empty during some periods of the day.
Hotel is located just next to Balaton lake and not far away from Veszprem, where we attended the business seminar (15-20 minutes drive). We only had time to spend two nights in the hotel including breakfast and for this purpose the hotel was great and with normal prices.
We were on our trip to Croatia and we stopped by Mayer only for one night. Because stay was fantastic we are planning on going there next year. We highly recommend this hotel 😊
