We used the Philippos Hotel as a stopping point on the way to the north.
The location is ideal, with easy access to the port and shopping. Car parking was free, although the hotel has three parking bays right outside, but all were taken.
Thanassis was on duty that evening, and Katerina the next morning, and both were friendly and knowledgeable, with excellent English.

Rarely have I seen a property more spotless or meticulously maintained. Although the rooms are small, they are well-appointed with everything a traveler could need — even slippers.
Each room has an HVAC unit and a pleasant balcony that looks out over the plaza that houses a beautiful church. I appreciate that the body wash and shampoo are obtained from Greek producers — as opposed to some Greek hotels who don’t support Greek businesses and feature Made in China products in order to save a few cents. Towels are of the highest quality.
One could stay in one of the fancier hotels ten minutes down the street in downtown Volos — however one would need to pay three times the price for night!

The recent natural flood disaster affected all Volos and surrounding regions. I hope that as a country, they will overcome these problems as soon as possible and return to normal life. I wish the whole country to get well soon.

If you like waking , there is a long pedestrian area next to the see! Beautiful hotels with the sea views! Volos is a great city to visit. It’s situated on the water and is conveniently located to the beach. It has a great boardwalk with a good variety of cafes! A walkable city with good shopping, bars, and restaurants! Volos is close to Pelion which has amazing views! Definitely worth a trip!
The apartment is bright and modern, with all amenities within walking distance. We particularly love the bathroom. Travelling for three months in Greece now and we started to miss our comfy bathroom. So, a great bathroom was a must and Volos Park fulfilled our need.
The host is great, helpful, and friendly. He responded to our message instantly. Thank you again for hosting us in your beautiful city, Volos.
Wonderfully decorated, spacious and spotless apartment so close to the shops, the shore, the port and restaurants. We managed to get there during a large storm front so the snow disrupted a lot of our plans, but we were happy to have this great apartment to hide out in and stay warm and cozy! Natasha was a wonderful host, extremely nice and very responsive. We highly recommend this apartment if in Volos!
The house is excellent with everything you would need for an amazing vacation. Location is great, close to the beach, and 5 minutes driving from the center of Volos. But above it all, the host Thomas was always available and willing to answer all our questions and requests. Thomas was going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
Fantastic location on the waterfront and perfect as a short walk from the ferry coming from the islands of Skopelos and Skiathos. Very friendly staff who gave me a great recommendation for supper and again helpful booking a taxi next morning to Volos airport. Room had view and balcony which was lovely for watching the world walk by!
Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds. It all felt very luxurious. Possibility to park just below hotel was fantastic, as parking in Volos in difficult. Both ladies at the check-in that we met were very friendly, helpful and professional. We travelled with a two-year-old and he was welcomed. Very good choice for visiting Volos.
Spacious apartment, which had everything one could need. Friendly (English-speaking) hostess. Aircon in the living room, and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Since we were halfway our holiday of 3.5 weeks in Greece, we were happy to be able to do laundry.
