We stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon vacation. The staff was very friendly and kind. Katarina at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean. Breakfast was delicious. We loved it. Definitely recommend.

Lovely, quaint and calm (almost pristine)island not crammed with tourists. Karlovasi is surrounded by blue clear sea, green lush trees, plentiful taverns and nice friendly people. Many homes from 1800s have been restored and are charming. There is a CENTER of town full with stores and lounges/bars to relax.

Karlovasi, the nearby towns, and the island of Samos as a whole, is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in the Greek islands. It offers a bit of everything… breathtaking mountain and ocean views, beautiful (and not crowded) beaches, abundant vegetation (including the magnificent Potami waterfalls) friendly people, delicious foods and restaurants (many accessible by foot) plus much more!!

It's worth going to Potami for the beaches rather than...
It's worth going to Potami for the beaches rather than sticking to the hotel beach closer to the Port. A set if beach loungers at the hotel beach costs €5 and food/drink is not readily available. At Potami if you buy coffees or food from the beach restaurants then the price of the chairs are comped. Plus Potami has better views and the waterfalls nearby.

Working port.
Working port. Things around Karlovasi are nice though we feel they could do much more to make the waterfront area more enjoyable to visit. Perhaps more boutique shops, small cafes other than the few in a row. No sense of it having any charm really. The town of Karlovasi is pretty boring. They need to re-think their town's accesibility as the location is good and there are lots to see around it.

Fantastic small town, distributed in 3 basic areas. The port and the old Karlovassi in the hill, the middle karlovassi, and the new karlovassi. A place with big history. Very close to Potami (waterfall) and Seitani (Natura protected) beaches.

It seems like many visitors to Samos don't make it to...
It seems like many visitors to Samos don't make it to Karlovasi, but it is gorgeous and full of it's own charm. It has plenty of restaurants, a wonderful beach, historic churches, and hiking paths. We recommend Rendezvous 2000 in the port for dinner and the cafe Relax for breakfast or lunch.
This beautiful boutique hotel is steps away from the Karlovasi ferry terminal. Our room was spotless, clean, and comfortable, and we appreciated the complementary water in the room after a long nighttime ferry voyage. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and arranged a taxi to the downtown KTEL intercity bus stop. (About a 25 minute walk, or 7€ taxi is better with bags).
Breakfast was delicious as well. The Samaina Port Hotel is an excellent value and highly recommended.
It was perfect! The hotel, the owners, the location, the staff,breakfast, cleanliness, comfort… everything was great. They offer car rental service as well so it was very convenient for us to pick the car up from the ferry port and then arrive to the hotel. There is A great fish restaurant 3-4 min walking distance… If we come to Samos again we will not hesitate one second to stay at this place!

The hotel host, a warm and friendly lady, greeted us warmly and even offered us a coffee.
We stayed at this hotel as a family with two adult sons, and we had booked two rooms in upstairs, one with a terrace, another is with a small balcony.
It is a very nice hotel in a good location, quiet, but very close to the centre of town. From the balcony you have a wonderful view of the surrounding hills, the houses and churches and far away the sea. You can even watch a wonderful sunset. The hotel has a beautiful garden and a swimming pool. The people are so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay there.
Hotel is located just a few steps behind a beachfront tavern, and at a 10-min walk to Karlovassi port. There is a market nearby and car rentals are available in the neighbourhood. Free parking is offered. Wifi worked well. Receptionist and staff are helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and large, beds were comfy. Breakfast was very good.

This hotel has the most strict and scientific COVID roles we’ve ever seen during our almost a month travel in Greece. That was great.
We had a very quiet room. However, it might has something to do with the end of tourist season.
Beautiful view, clean and comfortable room and exceptionally friendly staff. My mom had a fall accident on the boat before arriving to the hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful and even drove with them to the pharmacy after their ER visit and making sure they had everything they needed.
The location of the hotel is excellent: it's conveniently located between Karlovasi centre and the beach, with a large supermarket nearby. The room and hotel were very clean and tidy. John, who checked us in, was super friendly and helpful with recommendations etc!
The hotel had all the necessary accommodations and all the staff was very hospitable. I was treated like family and was even offered some local cuisine including Gemista! The host, Georgia, also helped me plan the rest of my trip and my future accommodations!
Koula is the kindest person in the island. She helps you with everything. The hotel is nice, clean, really silent. Closest hotel to the port, near the cafés, near to everywhere. We stayed for 7 days and enjoyed our every minute here. Highly recommended.
The apartment is really well oganized, and cute. Confortable and not too far from the central part of Karlovasi.

The location is good if you have a car or scooter otherwise a long uphill walk from northern Karlovasi waterfront / port. Potami beach is 2 km to west.
