Staying a night at Beni was absolutely unforgetable. The town is in the central location several key cultural hallmarks (Kintsvisi, Vardzia etc) are within short drive. We were treated like royalties by hotel host. The hotel itself is located in the backyard of their house it felt very safe and protected. Hand made local type of food was prepared amd served to us imdividually over tables with silverware and white cloth. The rooms were crisp clean and renovated and gave us a famtastic rest. Local dining is high end. The lically made white semi-sweet was the best we had im Georgia. Highly recommended

Over the years I have stayed in over a dozen hotels and guesthouses in Akhaltsikhe (including Hotel Like several times)......Considering the room rate, location, room view, the facility and room amenities and the owner hospitality, the Hotel Like is clearly the best.....There may not be someone at reception to check you in upon arrival. But call one of the phone numbers on the entrance door (Sabo speaks English) and somebody will be there shortly to check you in.

Upon arrival I was upgraded to a room with a balcony.....The view from the room is very nice. In the foreground is a mostly residential area and in the background are mountains (but no view of artificial Lake Akhaltsikhe as stated on booking.com).....The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and speak good English. Though the hosts are not always onsite they were easy to reach via the booking.com app. Good idea to inform the hosts of your expected arrival time.....Excellent heating from an overhead unit.....The shower is not enclosed but there is plenty of hot water, good water pressure and it drains quickly.....The room has two beds, two nightstands and two outdoor chairs. The hosts brought me a more comfortable chair and I was able to cobble together a table/desk of suitable height by stacking one nightstand on top of the other.....The room has good lighting, many electrical outlets and the room and hotel are clean.....The ground floor is an attractive common space while most all the rooms are on upper floors assessable by stairs.....The location of the hotel is on a semi-busy street that is mostly a residential area. Plenty of food stores nearby but few - if any - restaurants. But the walk to the centre of Akhaltsikhe is not too far. Maybe 15 minutes. All in all, a lodging option at a very reasonable price and - for the most part - it had what mattered to me.

Castle is amazing!Worth of visiting for sure!One of the Georgian highlights!You can set the base here,and go around a bit,to such a place as Vardzia and so,and to go straight to Batumi from there (just be aware of the snow-covered pass during the winter/early spring time, not available by regular car).

We made a last minute change to our travel plans to come to Akhaltsikhe for 1 night. 1 night us definitely not enough, 2 nights would have been better to fit in a a slow paced tour of vardzia (2-3 hours recommended, plus 2 hours total driving time). Give plenty of time to have a full tour of the fortress.
The town is very cute, and cool experience

One afternoon and one day were long enough to see the castle and go on a basic tour of the area. With two days more I would have gone to see the various churches and synagogues in town and taken the time for a hike in the surrounding mountains.

Very impressive fortress/castle of IX century, rebuilt in XII century. However, in my opinion, some parts of the reconstruction of 2012 doesn't fit well with old structures and makes to desire much more. Overall, it is worth to visit it.
But, if you are in Akhaltsikhe, you are simply OBLIGUED to visit Vardzia caves (1 hour away). It will leave you astonished!!!
And also Saro megaliths and ruins of 2nd millennium BC (45 min away)...
And much more...

A very interesting place. Rabati was fantastic, there are many other beautiful fortresses, churches, monasteries around. The nature was beautiful. Only about 62 km from Vardzia - a must see in Georgia.

Akaltsikhe is a beautifull area in Georgia and a good place to start tours to e.g. Vardiz or Borjomi. The castle in Akaltsikhe is a huge rebuild old castle renewed with new sites inside the castle walls. An exciting mixture of old and new. Be sure to have time for all the corners with nice mosaic basins and walk up the stairs to the towers for extraordinary good view.
The hotel is/looks really new and modern, the location and value for the price are great. Staff was very friendly too.
I have stayed only for 1 night, so I just needed basic things like bed and shower, which I got. I also liked that the shower had nice smelling shower gel and shampoo bottles. The hotel is situated directly opposite the castle, so you can have nice view from the room (which I unfortunately didn't have, but at least I could see my car parked on the quiet street on the other side)
Clean, quiet and spacious room. Everything worked great - heating, wi-fi, shower, fridge, kettle and so on.....Nice courtyard and view of mountains from room.....This hotel is fully staffed 24/7. Very professional.....I really liked the location, which is on the outskirts of Akhaltsikhe but not so far from the centre. Ample parking too.....Breakfast options were very good but abit limited due - I assume - to the offseason. Will definitely stay here again.
Big and tasty Georgian breakfast, warm rooms(in late December), hot water, everything was clean, hosts were very helpful and hospitable, we were treated with homemade chacha and wine, great location 2 minutes from the castle and the city centre, room with castle view. Hosts offer trips to Vardzia or other nearby tourist attractions. I fully recommend it!
We stayed at this hotel for the second time because we were so impressed by our first visit. The rooms are clean and cozy, the food and wine are delicious (don't miss the opportunity to order dinner at the hotel), and the owners are just great people! I would recommend this place to everyone who decides to stay at Akhaltsikhe.
The warm and friendly owners of the hotel was the outstanding feature for us...location is fabulous right near the castle. We were only there one night but it was warm and comfortable. The recommendation from the owners was a great choice. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Lovely little hotel in the old city in authentic but fully renovated building in walking distance from the castle. Very friendly hosts who let us use the kitchen to prepare our own dinner and answered all our questions. Sweet breakfast room, very clean rooms. Would have loved to stay longer.
Excellent location of the hotel, next to the fortress and close to the center. Everything is clean, comfortable. The owner of the hotel was great person and she did everything for our comfortable stay. In the morning, a delicious and hearty breakfast was served. Higly recommended.
Family-lead guesthouse, just 5 walking minutes from Rabati castle. They organised a day-long trip to Vardzia and other castles for a super fair price with a private driver. Breakfast is provided for a small extra charge, the bed is hotel-style sized and super cosy!
