Everything about the hotel is excellent EXCEPT :It was very poor that there was no management available in the middle of the night ( in the early hours of Thursday 24th August) to supervise the residents when the fire alarm sounded. The guests were confused and after the alarm stopped ringing the residents went back to bed. Then 5 to 10 minutes later the fire alarm rang again and the residents exited again without any hotel staff supervision or guidance. I learned the next day that these incidents were unexplained false alarms. There has been no formal communication about this from the Hotel. This is an expensive 4 star hotel and I think it is very poor show that the level of service they portray during the daytime is not matched during the night ! This is very disconcerting for a customer such as me. I would have expected an apology and some compensation for a ruined nights sleep for a very uncomfortable experience!

Talloires was as beautiful as ever.
Talloires was as beautiful as ever. Post-pandemic, the main holiday season seems to have truncated to July and August so visiting in June was agreeably quiet on the roads and for the facilities. However, some things like the facilities at La Clusaz in the Aravis mountains were not fully open, at least they were not on weekdays, not event the restaurants. This was not a major problem for us.

Talloires is a very nice village, away from the hustle and bustle of Annecy (very popular tourist destination). The lake makes this place very resting and very good to chill. Mountains are very close and offer a large choice of walking/hiking trails.

The place is relaxing with little traffic, good cafes and restaurants. It is also ideal to sail by steamer or water taxi, ( speedboat ), to Annecy.

Talloire is a small village near Annecy lake, if you are looking for calm and great food (there are a buncyh of 5 stars restaurants near the lake) it is a very nice place.
Hiking is ok from there, but you still have a fair amount of walking before getting into the wild..

One of the most complete all year resorts.
One of the most complete all year resorts.
Beautiful scenery, summer weather mainly warm and sunny - plus the cleanest lake in Europe for swimming, water sports and boat trips.
Great area for foodies.
Surrounded by mountains for walking and cycling
Winter season offers skiing nearby both downhill and cross country
I guess I like the place!
We loved the stunning views of Lake Annecy and that we were away from the larger towns. The room had a spectacular view. The breakfast was great (again with a view) and the staff made sure everything was fresh. The spa and indoor pool was very relaxing as were the outdoor sunbeds. Eva helped us book restaurants and showed us around the chalet. She was a wealth of knowledge. We really didn’t want to leave when it was time.
The location was perfect for walking around Talloires, especially via the footpath down the hill from the property. The view to the lake was also very pleasant, and it was too bad that wet weather prevented use of the front door patio with the lake view. Better weather would have made the patio a perfect spot to enjoy the lakeview with a glass of wine and some cheese.
The apartment was a great size. It was very clean, it had everything we needed. The service was very friendly and everyone was helpful. We hired an electric bike for a ride around the lake and that was great.
Oh, and this may seem silly, but there a power socket at each side of the bed. You wouldn't believe how often that doesn't happen in hotels!
Easy communication and smooth check-in/out. Stunning location and a perfect place to stay for a few days. The accommodation had everything we needed and it was wonderful to be so close to the lake. There's a small supermarket and a couple of shops and restaurants nearby, great bakery and gorgeous views. We would love to stay here again.
Always nice to return to the Abbaye . We’ve been coming for at least 20 years or more . Rooms are beautiful especially with lake views .
Restaurant has been improved since I was last here.
Private deck area at lake is lovely . Staff was very helpful at desk and restaurant. Breakfast is the best .
The pool is amazing, a perfect sun trap!
It was exactly what we needed, we were travelling with a toddler and needed an adjoining room for her to sleep in, the room although smallish was perfect really.
We used the hotel for a babysitter, Sophie was amazing!
Have already reviewed it on Google maps but happy to do so again.
A lovely hotel with wonderful views across the lake.
The room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely big terrace overlooking the lake.
The breakfasts were excellent.
It was a sweet home in such a beautiful location. We really loved Talloires and the entire Lake Annecy area. The lake is so beautiful and our daughter went on the slide into the lake. The home is very well furnished in many ways.
Very nice hotel with a beautiful location by the lake, the room with a view on the garden is great as we can still see the lake, also the breakfast is absolutely amazing
Very upscale hotel with beautiful rooms and common areas. We did not use pool, but looked very nice. Location was great and all staff very nice and helpful!
