I was looking for a cheap ticket to Canada from the Middle East. LYS is both a Wizz Air destination from Rome, my go-to exit destination from Saudi Arabia and a new destination for Air Canada from Montreal. I was able to connect the dots at the LYS International Airport in Saint-Exupéry and enjoy a wonderful day in Vieux Lyon. The airport is hyper connected with affordable and fast trams and buses into the charming Lyon
city center, plenty of cheap flights to other EU airport destinations and the high speed TGV rail station is right inside the airport. The airport hotels are also easily accessible and relatively affordable when compared to other EU hubs with North American connections.

We arrived at St Exupery airport to catch an early fligt, which worked out fine. The processing time at St Exupery this time around was good. However, at other times I have used this airport, and it usually is a mess.

Motel was dreadful, old, needed lots of attention. After reading reviews and because it was simply an overnight stop we went ahead and booked. Asked for an updated, renovated room too as it was our anniversary! Reception couldn't have cared less about us. "all rooms are renovated"! If ours was renovated it was 1982 when finished!
Never again here or any other COMFORT INN!

1. NO shuttle between 8:00 am & 6:00 PM (18:00).

DO NOT WALK from Terminal 1 to Comfort hotel:
(i) It is practically impossible walking while carrying heavy luggage.
(ii) Unsafe especially if you are solo.
(iii) Taxi 🚖 is very expensive: 15€ for 1.5 KMs (0.8 miles from Terminal 1 to Comfort hotel)
2. No vending machines on hotel's site (bring your water & drinks with you).
3. A serious FLOOD was by my room's door!
I couldn't walk out & staff were very noisy trying to dry out the water lake using very loud equipments for a long time ( I couldn't rest as I was very tired)
4. No coffee maker or coffee in the room.
5. Dirty hot tub:
I found HAIR in the hot tub.
6. Breakfast is NOT worth paying ~10 €.
7. It is NOT worth staying at "Comfort" hotel:
120 € + (2* 15€ taxi 🚖) = 150 €/ night
It is VERY EXPENSIVE.
In sum,
They are WAY OTHER hotels by LYS airport.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT at ALL ! ☹️

Excellent location 5 minutes from the airport. Room compact but comfortable and very clean. Very quiet despite its proximity to the airport. Receptionist helpful in directing us to a good restaurant as the hotel restaurant was shut on a Saturday night.

shocking, the best thing was a comfortable bed, the rest was just poor condition of the room, bathroom, a kettle supplied but no cups, there were no facilities, tea coffee, water, no soap, shower gel, very basic, with the excuse that cover is to blame, complete poppycock, just an excuse to save money on goods, twice we were interrupted by staff just opening our door, at 8.00 when we didn't need to leave until 12.00 very very shabby
Great hotel, great location - just at the Lyon Airport Terminal. It could not be better. Our room was facing the planes, and kids really enjoyed this. The room was big enough for 2 adults, a kid and a baby. Very comfortable and well designed, silent and calm. Modern and comfortable. You can not say you are at the Terminal! Breakfast was excellent, fresh orange juice, eggs, fresh bread. For sure we will come back again when necessary to have a night at the airport.
We were arriving by plane to airport late at night. A free, about to leave and was easy to find. Walking to the airport the next day before the shuttle was operation was easy. . Good instructions were given by the staff on how to get to the airport The hotel had sent me details of the shuttle by email on my request
The room minimalist offers bed and shower. Serves the purpose of a good solution for connecting flights. Staff very nice. Free shuttle service from and to Lyon Airport. We arrived late at about 2 am and we got service. Its a few minutes ride. Better to register for a service when returning to the airport.
Very conveniently located next to the terminal 1 of the airport (15 minutes by foot), and they have a free shuttle that links the hotel to the terminal for most of the day. Staff is very nice. Room is very quiet although planes are flying nearby. Vending machines are there to deliver food 24/7.
The free shuttle service to and from the airport was great - drivers were friendly and helpful. Check-in was smooth and efficient, buffet dinner was nutritious and hearty. Breakfast was tasty. Highly recommend this hotel as a stopover
This budget hotel is conveniently located near the airport, offering rooms at lower prices compared to nearby hotels. From the window, guests can enjoy views of airplanes. The staff were cooperative and provided helpful information.
Good proximity to the airport as long as you can figure out how to get to the proper bus stop and pay to be dropped off near the hotel. Checking in was fast and simple. Elevator to room with automatic lights in the hallway.
Right next to the airport, comfy and good facilities. It's what you would expect from a good 4 stars hotel. Great if you need to catch a flight or drive to another city nearby.
