I had the pleasure of staying at this charming small castle with a rich history spanning over 200 years, and it was truly a delightful experience. The moment I arrived, the host welcomed me warmly and made me feel right at home.
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the lovely donkey that resides in the garden. It added a unique and endearing touch to the castle’s ambiance. Spending time in the garden, getting to know the donkey, and enjoying the tranquil surroundings was a memorable part of my visit.

We stayed at the Hotel St Pierre quite by accident. Other accommodation had overbooked and cancelled at last minute. This hotel had one of the few rooms available at such short notice. It was one of the best strokes of luck on our whole trip. It was a delightful stay. Location was super, just a few steps from the main square with lots of restaurants. Everything about the hotel, the rooms, the service was meticulously and impeccably outfitted. Decorations were artistic and creative. Breakfast was 5 star! Local artisan products and delicacies. And of course, the best was the host. So kind and hospitable. Made us feel like we were family coming to visit at his home. All in all, one of the highlights of our trip. If you visit Saumur, you must stay at the Hotel St Pierre.

The hotel manager was exceptional. She was super welcoming and very attentive. She helped us find a last minute restaurant reservation on a busy Saturday night.
The extérieur pool was great and the water was warm (heated at 82 F).
And we did appreciate the spa ( sauna , hamman)
