Excellent stay, we were quickly made feel at home and enjoyed out time with Nicky and Steve. The breakfast was yummy and we had a nice chat with the hosts. The hospitality of Nicky and Steve goes far beyond their chalet - Steve was so kind and cleared off the snow from our car!!! Wish we could stay for longer. We will definitely come back when the opportunity arises.

Didn’t look like much on the outside but was so clean on the inside you could have eaten off the floor. Room was totally updated, breakfast was wonderful, and we made a new friend in Marteen (sp?). Would highly recommend, without reservation.m

The hotel is brand new, very modern, nicely decorated and clean. The reception staff is extremely helpful and warm. The breakfast is good.

Jarrier is an unusual village as it stretches up the mountainside for several kilometres and finishes at a car park which is a base for further walks. There are no shops, alas, so make sure you do all your shopping in Saint-Jean de Maurienne (including several supermarkets) before driving up to the flat. There is one restaurant (Chalet La Tuviere Bike Inn) which serves very good evening meals - but you need to book - but it's just a 10-15 minute walk away.
Plenty of walking in the area - and this is an excellent base for the Haute Savoie region - despite the 15-20 minute drive up and down hill, which you eventually get used to.
