The hosts were great. We arrived late but they were very patient with us.
House is amazing. Breakfast was great too. We had beautiful croissant and baguette from the boulangerie.
And we loved the owners two gorgeous dogs. They had a big welcome for us in the morning and we were able to go and pet them. They are kept outdoors and we asked to go and pet them so no problem if you don't like dogs.

The staff is terrific and provided much needed guidance on local options such as the télépherique and local communes. I did not take breakfast but it looked good. They have coffee and tea available at all hours, very nice.
I felt very privileged to be able to stay in this beautiful chateau. It has some stunning architectural features, yet feels confortable and spacious. It was remarkably close to Grenoble and easy to find off the motorway. Gieres, retains a small village atmosphere, yet is so close to the city.
My room was very large and confortable and breakfast was lovely. The pool area and grounds are magical and I awoke to birdsong!
Hotel was very quiet, so easy to relax and sleep. You can change the room temperature to suit you.
A good amount of shared toilet and shower cubicles, which were almost always empty anyway.
Check in was easy as you can use the machine outside the hotel door and it provides you with the keycode for your room.

Our daughter, a student lives right down street from the hotel so for us the location is perfect. If your child lives near the St Martin d’Heres/Gieres campus, it makes sense to stay here. You really can’t beat the price. It is also very quiet and very close to the tram. We have stayed here twice. They also accept pets. Reasonably priced breakfast.
