Very nice breakfast. The host was very helpful. Our family room suite was wonderful & it was an amazing experience.

Amazing place. Food phenomenal. Note though that restaurant reservations need to be made weeks or months ahead. They had a great picnic basket dinner option when reservations are full. Breakfast was amazingly good. The option to walk around the monestary at night and early am without tourists made all the difference.
Located a 20-minute drive from Saumur and less than a 5-minute drive from Fontevraud L'Abbaye, Domaine de Roiffé is is set in 19th-century buildings.

The rooms are in different buildings. The grounds are huge and there is plenty to do - pool, mini golf etc

We spent 2 nights at La Croix Blanche. It is in the centre of a charming and small village. There is ample parking at the rear of the hotel. As it is an old property there are no lifts to the bedrooms.
We stayed in the family room - spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was very good and we had an enjoyable dinner in the hotel with very good service.
