Great no frills motel, clean and comfortable with great staff. Just be aware there is no mini fridge in the room, so grab a cheap cooler if you have any perishables. Would definitely stay again. Thanks guys!

A wonderful, historic hotel that served me very well as a base for a few days of remote work, birdwatching, and relaxation on the lake. Within easy reach of Parikkala, Siikalahti, and Punkaharju. The caretakers were very friendly, even allowing me to use a spare router to make sure I had strong enough internet to work.

The location by lake Saimaa is excellent. There is a small but comfortable sandy beach at the property, so we swam a lot. The water is crystal clear. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and had all the basic necessities. We would definitely stay here again. The holiday village is operated by a Swiss company, which gives the place a pleasantly international feel.
